I believe people suggested not jumping to conclusions. This would obviously be the additional information that was being waited on.
This is definitely what my belief was at the time. He hadn't been arrested for it at the time, and the uncommon circumstances around the whole situation, with his friend and business partner having been arrested for it recently, made it possible he was just getting caught up in it.
But as the days went by, and then the details about the underage prostitution came out, it became apparent which way things were going to go.

Will be interesting to see how this affects Subway and their business. They may have disassociated themselves from him publicly but he's still a pretty big part of their public perception. Doubt it will stop people from going there any more than the shitty bread already does, but I think it makes Subway the butt of pedo jokes from now until eternity.
This guy is a scumbag, and it goes beyond CP. I mean, he didn't "just" look at illegal porn, he acted on his impulses with a 16 year old prostitute. Jesus. I hope he goes to prison, but it's probably a pretty good plea deal... dude is rich. On the other hand, federal sentences for child porn are substantial. We may luck out and he gets that prison time in the end!

As far as I'm concerned the plea deal better include prison - if not that's a grave disservice to the children that were abused and exploited in this.

This probably isn't the thread to discuss pedophilia / child porn as a thought crime for a condition that needs help. I'm also conflicted on if the consumption of child porn is what's responsible for the exploitation of the child, the production obviously is. In general I think these things are more gray than the black and white its made to be. Child saftey tends to do that to laws. Which is clearly important. I'm not trying to minimize that because in general I'm glad something is being done here.

It's more inaction than anything. His manager got nicked for it, and the company seriously didn't think to go the extra mile and make sure their Goddamn face wasn't in on it? I know I would do an investigation right away.
This at the very least reeks of corporate incompitance, but it could very likely be something worse.
