I guess we'll have to hope for some technical problems for Mercedes or 1-2 is decided, with Vettel third when he gets past the backmarker.

Tempy

don't ask me for codes
VER-MAS incident: No further action, which I suppose is about right.

EDIT: Somewhat awkward HUL radio.

Aw, I missed the last 10 minutes of the race. Verstappen is trouble again?

I wish he'd get a nice clean race soon. Just one, he needs it.

It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan.
Who was it saying that the Ferrari was 0.1s slower than the Mercedes on race pace?

Stop It

Perfectly able to grasp the inherent value of the fishing game.
Everyone agrees the hardware penalty system as-is is extreme, but any change would have to be unanimous, too. Add the actual merits behind trying to stop larger teams from burning through components and this is soooooooooooo complicated.

What does a compromise on this even look like? You can't scrap them entirely or you'd have the works teams throwing entirely new spec engines in the cars every single weekend. Some system where they have to offer their previous specs to the customer teams immediately upon any and all replacements?

Because fixed financial penalties would hurt small teams disproportionately, they could fine overuse of engine components with a percentage of the payments they receive.

Bigger teams would be hit harder financially but the racing would be unaffected. Still not ideal as I'm sure teams would go for the hit to win a championship but this current situation is a farce.

Looks like a wrap for the win already. Hamilton has a decent lead and the Ferrari cars aren't fast enough. Raikkonen can't even get past Stroll yet.
