Attention PS4 players! I made a PSN community called GAFortnite come join up if you wanna meet people and build a community for Fortnite be a good way to find static group members and share info besides just the board here!

Yeah, just ammo crafting is already starting to feel irritating. There are just too many menial menu-driven tasks to mind and too many XP treadmills running concurrently. While the core action-game is a lot of fun, I can feel the RNG/slot machine tentacles creeping in fast. F2P limits are definitely a negative influence here. And the menus are nearly an unwieldly spaghetti mess of systems, also not well-explained. Game could stand to lose half of the bullshit busy work and be twice as good for it, but then the repetition of the core game might be too glaringly obvious. Fun, but for how much longer?

been upgrading my home base. upgraded to lvl 3 building upgrade. LOL. the lvl 3 brick is so good. gonna make a proper castle when i farm more. i was going to do metal but that is needed for bullets.

For those struggling with ammo early game, the bolt action rifles are your friends. I have an uncommon one that is my go to weapon which has a very good ammo consumption to kill ratio.

I only switch to my rare shotgun or assault rifles when the shit hits the fan.

Man i thought crafted weapons went in to the collection, apparently it are your schematics :( feels bad man.

Still pretty early so i should be getting better stuff anyway

This random refuses to respond to my questions in chat regarding him going way above our building limit despite me telling him not to, then wasting all his resources.

He's throwing purple traps down all over the place on a level 5 mission. What the fuck is happening.

And now we're just killing all the zombies at spawn. I hate this game's community.

I'm putting it down to the game being new. There are people that only see the building progress bar and just start mashing any old piece down to fill it up as high as they can, not realising how important in game medals are to end game loot progress.


There was a guy yesterday that built such an eloborate structure that I had to smash my way into the middle to activate the horde becuase he failed to put any doors or access into his plans.

I'm way off evolution. I have not been very clever with how I spend my upgrade and research points.

Speaking of which... Does anyone know if the outlander class can find chests more easily? Are the chests more audible with them?

I think they can actually see the chests through walls

Unless its an ability to you have to level them up for I have yet to see one of them use it to their advantage, I rarely see people going into nooks and crannys in my games.

Two questions for PS4...

One, how do I access the Air Strike skill I unlocked?

Second, when I was in the matching screen to go into a mission I was told I had a 'gadget' spot available... is this related to the previous air strike and how do I set it?

Yes

Even before hoard mode, while exploring I died once (being underleveled just to get a feel for the spike) and another player for the first time in my games had to call out on chat for help.

Equip it as a gadget before a mission on the character select screen.
There is a button prompt somewhere on screen to equip a gadget. Didn't take too long to figure out.

A friend of mine gave me one of his friend code copies and I'm having fun so far.
I can see that the grind for mats will be something else, I'm already going crazy with the hunt for ammo mats and I'm still in the very early part of the game (page 2/10). I guess I should rely more on traps, ah well.

A few things. I thought this was cross play. If I bought it on PC I could play on Xbox. Is that not the case?

Also, I'm running into not being able to make ammo a lot. Anyone have a solution?

Really like the game so far but man the UI is terrible and the game in general is confusing. I just started playing Warframe and thought that was bad. This is a new level.

grinding for mats isn't bad. since it carries over with you rather than start at 0 with each mission.

but RIP when no one has mats to make ammo. gotta have someone designated to do that lol.

i got lucky early on in a game i got an epic pistol plan and making that all the time. it's a pretty strong gun.

I spent an entire afternoon foraging for nuts and bolts to craft ammo.

Good times.

Cross progress is only between PS4 and PC currently if you link your Epic and PSN.

As for ammo, I've read getting nuts and bolts (to make ammo) from cars, washers and refrigerators is the best way.

Remember to look at mission rewards on the map mode to get stuff like ore instead hoping to find it while on missions.

Anyone else having a problem with joining or inviting friends? None of us gets each other's invites and none of us can join each other either. And yes we have the party settings correctly.

I have an evolved Outlander, and yes, I can see chests and other good loot from a small distance through objects. Roughly 1-2 tiles distant. Basically anything that has green or better loot will have a corresponding glow that is visible through objects. Basically all chests, and some of the other searchable objects. It's most useful for seeing the hidden chests in secret rooms, attics, and basements.

Also squads are basically armor slots? Am I getting that right?
