I am having a hard time making my avatar with a transparent background. I save it and it looks transparent, then I upload it to Neogaf and it inserts a white background.

Here is my image that I uploaded to imgur. It has a transparent background.

However if you look at my current avatar, it has a white background. Any ideas?

Resize it so that it's no wider than 100px and no taller than 120px or else NeoGAF will resize it for you. You won't like it when NeoGAF resizes it for you.

the black border got too subtle here, look closely and you will spot it i guess?
