Wow you suck. Excellent taste though. Elise is my dream car but being 6'5" I will never fit :'(. I just ordered a new WRX today though, woot!.

You do know that subaru is releasing an all new wrx from the ground up later this year right? It's on my shortlist to replace my 03 gti.

Man, you're actually doing what I want to do. I would like to break into racing sometime. Since you're getting a car you can spec, I assume you plan on racing. Keep us updated on how that's all going. PEACE.

Hopefully I will have it ready for next year and I should be co-driving in at least two rallies in a friend's 92 Eclipse this year.

Im not interested in getting a car that is an all new model, leave that for the Subaru and the other pro teams to figure out. Not that its a big deal but I am not too keen on the look of the new model either. That is if the spy shots are of the WRX.

24 hours is the maximum auction time? Seems kind of short.

We also allow players to lock their livery designs and paintjobs to their cars. This prevents someone from buying a car with a hot paint job only to turn around and copy/paste it to mass produce an army of cars with that same paint job. We believe that your paint designs are your intellectual property and you should have the option of protecting that creation.

That is really cool, what about locking/hiding the tunning?

Lovely update Che, "unicorn" cars sounds pretty cool as long as you got money to buy one, also knowing that you can't get sniped out of a bid.

Forza 2 is turning into what I kind of expected from the first forza, the original trade lobbys and stuff seemed too rushed in the original.

*edit* Being able to hide the tuning or part of the gear ratios sounds good, stops those F355 and crx clones dominating :) - going by what gek was asking.

Yeah, Subie wanted it to be targeted for the "Euro-Hot-Hatch" segment for some strange reason... I guess they're following the sales trends over there...

Good luck with that WRX... they're awesome cars... my best friend has a new black STI... I threw a Blitz Nur-Spec R exhaust on there, and that boxer motor sounds great... He just has an Injen Intake, Blitz catback, and Blitz blow-off valve right now... I'll be doing more to it soon for him prolly like a decent downpipe, maybe a MBC and Walbro... That's the nice thing about Subie and Mitsu, that you can get their "stripped" cars to tune them to need...

I would love to do true rallies, but it's too harsh on the car for me... I stick to road rallies, hill climbs, decents (touge), and closed track days... plus some jump in SCCA parking lot fun here and there...

I have an 04 Evo, 3" dp with E-cutout, hallman pro RX mbc, Injen Intake and hardpipe kit, custom lower IC pipe, Walbro fp, 272/264 gsc cams, flash, and ferrodo pads... need a new clutch and getting some Toyo R888's prolly for track as I use T1-R for street... I nursed the stocker with those mods to 25,500mi, dunno how i did it... it still grabs, just not the feel I want... and it's my everyday car... :)

Che, were people voting on what car for you to get somewhere? What are your choices and what's your needs from it?

Not if people keep bidding on it -- automatically gets extended.

Is the 1.6 liter, 4 cylinder, 2001 Protege a Unicorn car? And is it available in Emerald Mica?

Boooooooo che, couldn't you get the new model in? :(
Ditto. I've fallen in love with the new R56 Cooper S, and I'd like to see it in Forza 2. It would make a nice starter car as I work my way up to the 997 Turbo.
Does liking the new Mini make me metrosexual? It's a pretty peppy car for the price, but it has that "chick car" stigma that plagues the Miata, unfortunately...

Will it be possible to do this in Forza 2? I remember seeing a pic like that for Forza 1 but I've never been able to do something like that. :(

I think that I saw this car in one of Greenwalt's highlights on the Forza Speed Challenge:

Or am I mistaken?

You better not be; that's my favorite racecar. But considering there's the Super GT #6 Supra, the Dome NSX is sure to be in as well:

Oh, and OT for a moment, I'm glad to hear that you're getting into rallying Gek. That sounds awesome. I'm jealous dude.

I am so sad that Bugatti wont be in the game, for the fastest car in the world should be playable :(

Maybe one day, the legendary Veyron will be playable;

That is quite bad ass. Personally I'd just be happy to join a go-kart league, though at 6'4 I'm probably too big for it. :lol

The Impreza redesign is probably for performance as much as trying to attract a new market. Hatches have almost always dominated the WRC, and both Peugeot and especially Citreon pretty much left Subaru in the dust in the last six years or so. I'd much rather see the sedan design, but it's hard to argue with a car that can produce over 300HP from it's revised 2L engine.

NO SCION XB??? NOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Good. Little shitboxes like that don't deserve to be in a racing sim of the highest caliber.
I'm talking about the first-gen version. The second-gen version has the tC's engine, and that's good enough for me to stop making any "my lawnmower has more horsepower!" jokes.

Well, you'll be missing out on my series of Lunchbox Themed liveries, smart guy.

Everyone else, thanks for the condolences. Che, I appreciate the kind reccomendation, but *sniff* it just ain't the same.

It was possible in the original, not done it myself but remember seeing posted car setups that had that effect, apparantly.

Are there any convertibles in? I did a quick browse through the list and none jumped out. Convertibles mean that more detail has to go into the interior and driver, obviously. Then having 12 on track at once would be murder, that's my guess anyway. Just like GT4 didn't use the top-down models for convertibles in a full race situation.

I just noticed, no Shelby GT500? Or is that considered a Tuner Car?

Oh it's in, look under Shelby as a manufacturer on that list. In addition to the new Supercharged 'Stang, the Cobra 427 S/C and the Series 1 you'll see they've included the 1968 Mustang GT-500KR.

Yum.

I think the GT500 will be great for showing off the new smoke. 3,900lb drifting? Maybe.

Nice lighting on that model, Che. Motion blur works well, too.
