Certainly noticed that. I occasionally get good turns, and only once got a perfect turn. Because of that I always sell my Perfect Turn cards as I can't get them no matter how much I try. (If you put the braking and steering to Super Easy, you can observe how the AI gets them for you.)
Thanks for the tip. I am going to try that with the AI just to see how they achieve them. As of right now it is kind of all I notice (meaning how I cannot get them). But that leads me to the next quote...
It is a bit more difficult to get good/perfect turns. I feel like you need to carry a bit more speed as compared to forza 6.
I actually believe you are 110% right as I no doubt noticed the times I did get a good turn it was when I kept my speed at a good pace. Interesting that is now what seems to be a large part of the criteria, although it does make sense. Previous games it just seemed to be about how well you followed the path of the turn itself. Now it appears it is not just following the path but you need to maintain speed while doing so. I just need to get used to it I suppose.
What is weird, for me, I am getting more perfect and good in this game that in the past games. It could be that my new TV has 21ms input lag and my previous ones all were 32+, but been hitting a lot of perfect, which is not usual for me in these games.
I also did the Hatch series as my first. What did you think of the lighting/graphics of Sebring when it starts pitch black night time and slowly the sun starts to rise? I thought it looked amazing. I did it on the Xbox One S, but also downloaded on my PC, which I know it is not the norm, but I have had ZERO issues running on PC. Have it set at 4k with every possible setting on max and it has been smooth as butter with no issues. I think there was a little hick-up in a menu, but that is about it. I need to replay that Sebring race.
I really hope they add a few more tracks that have variable lighting/weather. Was playing Prague and did not like the lighting they choose, but then played on-line and it was a different lighting condition which I much preferred.
Interesting. Would you say you are maintaining your speed as discussed above? As I do think that is it.
And yeah, I really wanted to hold off on playing since I have a One X pre ordered. I just could not help myself. My wife had some work she needed to do today even though it was the weekend. I was not feeling playing Destiny 2 with my friends, so I just caved in and got it early. I always get the Ultimate Edition, so it was a no brainer since I had some time to play.
And yeah, that 3rd race in that first hatch back tournament was amazing with the starting at night time. I am not going to lie, at first I thought something may be fucked up but then I remember that was one of the new features. The visuals of that race were just fantastic. Honestly the visuals all around are even more amazing than usual, but I can say it is noticeable they have affected loading times. One of the biggest reasons I am now looking forward to the X is to get them back down to what I consider normal. They are definitely much longer on the S than they were in 6. Like much, much longer. Not the end of the world noticeable but noticeable nonetheless.
Still, Forza is the primary reason I own an Xbox when all is said and done. I enjoy the series that much. It is definitely why I decided to get an X. I cannot wait.
With that said I do have a gaming PC as well with a 980 Ti. Not sure how well it is going to handle the game itself but I plan on starting the download tonight before I go to bed and will be checking it out at some point during the week. Absolutely.
