Are you on PC or Xbox?

I'm on X1 and I have the diamond notification achievement thing pop up and I hear the plinky noise, once I have completed an event/mission and then when I go to my garage the car is there, I don't check straight away I just drive to the closest festival and check.

There is a member here that works for Forza, however I am not sure how they would respond to a PM though.

The cars not showing up seems to be popping up quite a lot though which is worrying.

The best thing I can suggest at the moment is go on the main Forza forums and post there about it and also contact Forza and Playground on Twitter.

I will have a look and see if I can find anything.

Reminder tips to ensure Achievements and gifts are unlocked:

1) Go to your Settings menu for HUD and make sure Notifications are turned On. If you have 550 cars in your garage, auction/remove one or two.
2) If you are playing on PC: make sure you have not disabled Connected User Experiences and Telemetry setting, and turn off antivirus programs (see Known Issues thread in the Support forum)
3) Reboot before starting the challenges - hold the power button on your console until it shuts off. Also reboot any Win10 computers connected to the same router.
4) Use the dashboard Achievement tracker to see if you are progressing through # requirements, or use a Bucket List with skills requirement.
5) Reboot again if you see an Achievement but no gift.
6) Make sure you are reading the requirements correctly, and ask the community for tips on proper execution. (If a "Race" doesn't work in online, try solo mode)

When Challenges show 'Complete' but no reward you can try (in order of least impact to most):
1) Waiting... it may be a service delay
2) Try completing another event to trigger the event send/receipt
3) Terminate and Restart the game
4) Restart the Console

If you are asking for help or explanation for why you're not receiving Achievements/awards, include the following in your post:
-The date/time you attempted the challenge
-Which platform you're playing on
-Confirmation that you have tried all of the above troubleshooting
-If the Forzathon menu shows the challenge as complete or not
-% of completion for the challenge as shown in the console dashboard Achievements section
-If you've had trouble with Forzathon before or if this is a new issue.

Why thank you :) I played around with the metal flake paint to get the color I wanted. Then I drove around and found myself next to the Maroondah Reservoir at sunset, and just HAD to take those pics ^^

I also tried turning the 959 into a rally car by raising it, putting offroad tires on it and converting it to AWD but tooling around Blizzard Mountain with it just wasn't that great, so I just reverted to the default setup. I did upgrade the brakes and tune them a bit to lower braking distance, 'cause this car can't brake for shit.

Hmmm, just won a championship (Byron Bay Asphalt Collection / Retro Muscle), but no car awarded. Is this another one where there's a few bugs in what 'counts'?

try fast travel to garage, enter it, then leave. also a console/game reboot might make it show up

I just made a three race one lap championship and got the 959 in like 5 minutes. That's probably quicker than it'd take to win one in an auction lol.

Expansion Pass

I can't find out how to do this on microsoftstore.ca. Really irritating.

Why is it so damn hard to buy a code for this? I want to gift this to my brother. =/

Amazon in the USA has all three, and most likely gamestop too. Didn't see any options for codes on canadian amazon, though.

finally got around to playing horizon 3, i feel they should make a new spinoff series that focuses on arcade racing. i want tap brake to drift sort of car handling + nos. they have done all the hardwork anyway so it shouldnt even be too difficult to make this a reality.

the game for what it is (sim/arcade hybrid) is really good but just not my cup of tea. hope who ever is making the next nfs is taking notes.

absolutely love the art style, very clean and vibrant

When I came back to the game today, I'd been awarded the achievement and Porsche, so I guess that had effectively worked as a restart... or it just took the game a little while to register things!

I was sceptical, but this car/tune worked wonders. Came with a bonus "Underdog" achievement as well, which is one I wasn't even aware existed!

It does bother me how bad I am in drift zones with anything RWD, though. Ought to work on that.

4WD powerslide drift machines are where it's at, I tried that tune and wasn't really impressed about it. Maybe it'd do better on longer drifts but that's not a lot of drift zones in the game

Well, as a hopeless drifter in every game, I bought a 74 Celica with DJS tune this morning and 3-starred 14 of the drift zones. So, it works well enough for my needs.

Next, i'm going to run it on the last few speed zones I haven't been able to 3-star.

I am not very good at drifting at all, I have been playing racing games for the past thirty odd years, starting with Test Drive on my Atari ST and through to everything else and I have always gone for grip and aero in cornering over sliding around them so I am pretty useless when it comes to drifting, I am now getting a little better though.

DJS is a drifter and he seems to be able to set the cars up very well, I have ABS ON and Stability Control and Traction Control OFF, I find the drift-ability on this car to be pretty progressive, I have learnt not to drive too fast into the (corners) Drift Zones as I used to drive in at a million miles an hour and end up spinning off.

Glad it works for you, I tuned up a 1971 Skyline 2000GT-R to level A as a drift car and I managed to get about four of the Drift-Zones at three stars and the rest at two and mostly one star, I always looked at the leaderboards and noticed that many at the top were 1974 Toyota Celica GT, I didn't know what tune though and took a punt on the DJS tune as I know he's a drifter and I managed to get all of the Drift-Zones three stared over two nights, about an hour or so each night.

I did this #Forzathon Drift Challenge at the Drift-Zone just outside the Desert Festival, it is the one I managed to get the highest score at, somehow being in the top 2%!

The 959 is great, shame there is no proper rally (Paris/Dakar) tune though, it simply won't be available with the parts in the current upgrades though.

I went for a metallic brown though and tried to find wheels that matched the prototype as the regular ones look too small to me.

I have also managed to sell my Supra HE it went at a start bid of CR-2m I would have liked more but it's the best I would get in the current market.

Quick question. I'm about to buy this for my brother.

I'll go with standard edition because I know my brother won't give a shit about car packs.

I'm going to give him a gift card so he can get the expansion pass. I know he'll love Blizzard Mountain.

Does having the VIP pass help with getting the 1500/1500 gamerscore? I can't believe I'm even asking this since I have the VIP pass, I've put 100 hours into the game and I have the 1500/1500 myself.

I just can't remember what it did for me on the road to all the gamerscore. It just gives you double credit winnings right? That's it? I think he'll be fine without it if that's the case....

Vip doesn't help getting full gamerscore. You can get it with base game

Does the burnout challenge require you to do 10 skills as a part of a single chain or is it glitched? I'm just curious because I haven't tried it in a faster car and the 959 isn't a good candidate for this type of challenges. ;)

I may have to do this, need to get a related achievement for that.

Does anyone have drift tunes for the Lancia S4? I need to get three stars in a Blizzard Mountain drift zone with that car for an achievement.

Just to do 10 at any time, just get a high HP car and floor it with traction control off

I think it will work in a chain, going from Burnout through to Ultimate Burnout, I did it on the drive from the Desert festival to the Valley festival in the 74 Celica Drift Car to pick up the Warthog to do the Lumberjack event across the road from the Valley festival.

Just have a look in the tunes and see if Don Joewon Song has one, if not turn the car into 4WD and have stock tires (not Snow) and have them as wide as you can and have the car tuned to its lowest class but as high as possible so if it can be a B class then get it max B, I don't know how good my tunes are but I always leave the engine/power upgrades to last and have it as light as possible without a full role-cage.

The car I used for all the Blizzard Mountain events was a self built Renault 5 C class with Snow Tires (drifting without Snow Tires) and it was easy to three star everything, other than when you had to use a specific car.

if you want the underdog achievement extra easy just get a mercury C class drag build and launch it off the rainforest reveal danger zone (the one you did at the start of the game)

I did it on a stock version on the drift zone northwest of the festival, just use e-brake to start drifting and your set. Here's me doing it

All GAF members are welcome to join [GAF] you have to be verified so you have to PM Zorbsie and enter your GAF and Xbox details in the spreadsheet, if you just join [GAF] or enter details on the spreadsheet and don't contact Zorbsie you won't be let in because anyone can join in Forza as it's an open group and the spreadsheet could get or have been leaked so Zorbsie doesn't know who is who otherwise, there may be a limit on the number of members set by the game I do not know, I do know that Zorbsie goes through every so often and removes members that are not active in Forza.
