Anyone else feel like the plastic surfaces are super hard to corner on without accidentally drifting and losing speed? Makes some races quite hard to 3-star (3-medal?) against higher difficulty opponents.
And that was basically my only nitpick (that and the fact it's really difficult to race clean). I am LOVING this expansion!

The only challenge that was actually challenging for me was a 1:20 lap in a S1 track because my F40 sucks.

The Hot Wheels DLC got me interested in this game and I bought the standard edition from the Windows 10 store.
I've got to say the driving in this game feels incredibly unsatisfying, especially off road. It feels like there's no connection with the ground or something. Driving in dirt left no visual tracks or had any sense of feeling like I was driving off-road.
The world also felt flat and boring. In my two hours with the game I drove to the desert and the city part and it seems like that was all there was to see according to the in game map.
I got a refund and I may revisit when it's much cheaper but for now I just don't understand why this game has such good reviews.

Finally someone who shares the same opinion as me. I enjoy the game a lot but I just don't find the driving to be the best aspect of it. There's something off I can't quite put my finger on. Yeah the controls are responsive but there's no satisfaction to it. Best I can compare it to is like an FPS shooter with tight controls but the guns don't feel satisfying to shoot.
I did a few races.
Part of the fun for is just casually driving around as well. And in this game it just didn't feel good. And for an open world racing game the world is incredibly small.

All speed zones, speed cameras, jumps, drift zones and bucket lists maxed out, have the Goliath race unlocked but not started it yet..
Going to go for all the XP boards tomorrow I think.

I get the same sense of that when all of the driving assists are enabled, which Forza does by default. Did you disable any of the assists like traction control in your time with the game? I feel that having the assists off gives a more visceral feel to the handling.
Forza has always had unsatisfying driving physics even with all assists off. You can't feel the road at all. No sense of traction. No sense of power in the cars either. The DiRT and GRID games have superior audio design as well.

There are two bucket list items in the Hot Wheels expansion that made me say: "This is the best."
The Mini Cooper bucket list challenge that says "Conquer the Hyper Loop". The combination of the classical music choice, seeing the hyper loop in the distance, and journey towards the loop (with multiple jumps and speed boosts) made for something amazing - it felt like I was getting launching a space ship, if that makes sense.
And then the "All you can eat G-Force" or whatever it's called Lamborghini bucket list challenge. Sooooo crazy. Just pure adrenaline pumping action.
This expansion has been amazing.

The roads really feel like plastic. It's neat.
The drivatars using different physics is really obvious with all the long corkscrew in here.

Well I'm gonna check if I have that (probably do) and tune it the hell up and test it out on that jump
I have an issue where keyboard prompts keep overriding the controller prompts. I can't actually use my controller because it constantly keeps switching back to keyboard and mouse controls for some reason, like instantaneously. I've unplugged my keyboard and my mouse to see if either were causing the issue but it still happened. No idea what to do now, can't play at all with a controller.
I get that sometimes too. Especially when I'm trying to use the DualShock 4 with DS4Windows. Sometimes it would switch to keyboard. Other times the controller wouldn't work at all.
I think it's tied to your speed.

Just don't hit walls and you'll get speed skills where you're supposed to if your car is fast enough. I use a tuned Porsche 918 for s2, Mercedes amg coupe or jag xj220 for S1.
Just did rusty reef throwdown, and it doesn't even really give you a spot to hit a great speed skill until the first loop. then youll get three or four right at the end.
Cheers. I finally did it with my s2-tuned Audi R8 V10 plus.
Phew that takes care of every medal. Only two achievements left: finish every championship and complete 20 online races.
I've finished 1 championship and 0 online races heh, so it'll take awhile.

I didn't know GameStop still sells horizon 1 codes on their site. Just bought the season pass which comes with the rally expansion.
