Yeah, it showed the same for me in those exact areas. I have 8gb ram and 3.5vram and it runs fine

But this game is otherwise just so damn amazing. The track and open world designs are both superb, with lots of exciting elevation changes and interesting scenery. There's an enormous amount of variety and personality throughout the environment, with even little dinky houses out in the Outback being worth stopping for and appreciating. The soundtrack is great, much of the dialogue is legitimately funny, the multiplayer is great (though it's a shame you still have so many jerks online), the perk and other upgrade systems are filled with interesting decisions, and the game period just seems absolutely and generously huge. I love it, and if Playground can fix the technical issues soon this seems like a fairly obvious GOTY.
I can't wait to give co-op a spin in a couple days.
mechanic tells me he needs a minute after finding a certain barn car, and then the game just got stuck on them standing around it until I manually killed the game. At first I assumed Playground was fucking with me.

Sounds like CS bullshit to get you off the phone and buy them some time. I already have VIP bonuses on Xbox and downloaded the 15 bonus cars (slooowly). But nothing on PC. Apparently new buyers on PC are getting the perks properly.
So they should definitely be working for you. I hope and expect they'll find a solution to retroactively at least give you the VIP wheelspin bonuses so you won't be losing out on credits.

Good news indeed. I already tried the refund and rebuy method and it solved my missing VIP problem. But I still can't find those pre-order cars and Warthog in my garage. Any ideas?
BTW: Pre-order cars and Warthog codes redeemed on xbox.com. Playing on PC.

I wish the pc version enabled the rumbling triggers. I hate that no pc game uses them for that matter, but this game should.

I'm pretty sure that my triggers vibrate, I'm using the elite controller so it might be the strong vibration throwing me off.
Yeah I already checked the autoshow and all the freebies are those 15 cars from All-Star Pack and VIP,not the retailer pre-order cars (2016 Audi R8 V10 plus,2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe) I redeemed.I can't even find Warthog there.Its not in your garage. And some cars are just absolute beasts that force you to learn throttle control, and just how sensitive those triggers can be and exactly how much range there is to apply.

Option only exists for races. You should unlock blue prints early in the game, but I've already put a lot of time into the game and I can't really tell when that feature unlocked.
I was just admiring the car then I noticed how good the cloud movement looked.
Yeah its really good. Sky had a little segment about it not so long ago.
They just recorded clouds for months in Australia.

I tried one of the DLC S2 supercars and the car was so ridiculously fast that sometimes it just turns left or right, haha. At that moment I decided to turn on some of the assists back, and I was delightfully surprised at how different the game feels -- you can change the handling completely from sim to arcade-like anytime you want. I know people say this a lot about Forza, that you can make it fit whatever you like in racing games, but I was still shocked. It's such a great design decision to have in a racing game.

I use the Elite controller and I stumbled on a great thing yesterday. I use the lower/longer back paddles for gas and brake (instead of RT/LT), so when I'm driving around I'm always using them and never the RT/LT buttons. (The paddles are mapped to RT/LT.)
However, if you switch the triggers to the halfway mode, the gas on the RT becomes kinda like cruise mode because it almost caps your speed to whatever you're currently at (since the trigger is only reaching 50%). So when I set a far point in the map to follow, instead of just driving with max speed (with the paddle) I use the "throttled" triggers. I drive up to 120km/h using the right paddle, and then use RT from that point forward. This lets me drive at a regular real-life speed through the whole course, which makes it fun if I just wanna enjoy the beautiful vistas and not worry about twitch controls. Really loved it when I went from the beach to the outbacks at 120~140km/h using the throttled triggers. And since it's a manageable real-life speed, it makes it far more easier to drive in the cockpit view for me.

Because the default offering is also broken.
Earlier it was like yeah, this is a cross-country race so maybe you don't want to drive hypercars on this race, so here's like.. offroad buggies! Yeah!
Now it's just like.. whatever class you're driving it'll just say yeah take this.
And i dont want to do the events myself because it just takes the excitement away.
I'm on PC btw.
And I finally got my VIP icon. Too bad wheelspins still not VIP....
