So picture me stumbling across this Vegan Asian Spicy Sauce with a Swastika on it...my immediate deadpan “well that tracks Hitler was a vegetarian”. Needless to say it didn’t go over too well in person or on Reddit lol

Was that legit unfunny or are people too sensitive? Of course I know it was a stolen symbol that’s kind of the point of the joke?

Exactly not aiming for Conan level material but neither was I trying to imply that I condone the holocaust. Although vegans do share much of National Socialism’s intolerance apparently.

Reddit has a stick up it's ass, I've seen too many obvious jokes get downvoted to hell because people read it as a serious comment. Liberal use of /S is required for jokes there.

We could probably eat lunch together because that's the kind of joke I'd make.

Never really read Hitler related humor as automatically implying a disrespect for the holocaust.

Is Conan considered funny?

Early Conan, I could see being funny but the Conan of the last 20 years always makes me stressed out. He's an intelligent dude who basically has 2 different types of jokes (self depreciating and creepy) that he just repeats over and over again.

People dont realise that Swastikas were simply adopted by the Nazis...its roots are much more deeper than Hitler and his Cronies

The Origins of the Swastika
The word swastika comes from the Sanskrit svastika, which means “good fortune” or “well-being." The motif (a hooked cross) appears to have first been used in Eurasia, as early as 7000 years ago, perhaps representing the movement of the sun through the sky. To this day, it is a sacred symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Odinism. It is a common sight on temples or houses in India or Indonesia. Swastikas also have an ancient history in Europe, appearing on artifacts from pre-Christian European cultures.

You'll see it on just about every Korean pharmacy as well, the orientation always the opposite of the Nazi symbol.

Its not even really a joke-
Bottle has swastika like symbol on it next to the word 'vegetarian'
Hitler was a vegetarian.
It's basically predicated on finding a swastika like symbol on a product inherently funny.
For example I saw a place called 'Dong's Karate' the other day and made some lame joke about not being sure that you should teach your dong to fight, which is funny to me just because I find the word 'dong' inherently funny, for someone who doesn't it would be an unfunny joke.

I think the real sin here is your inability to post an image upright.
