My first thoughts exactly. Notice how we can't see anything sticking out of the GBA slot because it would be a Flash Card rather then a GB card sticking out.
 
The only thing really interesting here is the idea of trying to make the whole unit a large antenna, but I don't think things work in quite that manner when it comes to wifi transmission.

I am waiting for the first official or unofficial GB/GBC emulator cart for the DS. Flash carts would work, but that requires using ROM images. Does anyone know how feasible building a "on the fly" GB/GBC ROM dumper via a GBA cart would be, if tied to an GB/GBC emulator for the GBA?
 
... you can still run GB emu on the GBA hardware via a flash card (which still works)

There's a reflection of the other screen, but no reflection of the game. On top of that, there's not cart sticking out from the bottom of it (you'd see at least a little bit of a gray GB/C cart in the pic). This is supa awesomah fake.
 
oh come on, that pokemon shot is so clearly photoshopped. And that's beside the fact that he's holding the GB cart underneath the system with his pinky.

Anyway, that pic certainly looks real enough. I tried sliding my GB cart into the DS but the Blastoise head is still showing... when in the photo, it isn't. It doesn't look photoshopped either... hmm...

I have a feeling grounding the stuff alters the voltage or something. Anyways, I'd be up to get mine modded if this is infact real and not a loaded GBA cart underneath or a gutted DS.

Yeah, I thought the same as you did, but I had to remember a few tidbits on Pokemon to realize nothing seemed wrong.
 
Looks like the mod must act weird since the game seems to jump all over the screen with the off-centered images :P
 
Current issues of debate:
1) Resembles what Goomba would show, because of lack of a colored palette.
2) Serial sticker on back is unpunctured, and Nintendo always hides one screw underneath it to act as a seal.

Counter-point:
I mean, he must have at least butchered the DS or the GB cart to get one of them to fit. It seems odd to not actually open it and butcher one of them.

not sure if youre serious or not, but the "offcenter" screen is not that at all, its because in the game, that house does not fill up the screen, and the blank space is on the side a bit, making it look like its "off". like someone already said, the game scrolls with your character, so if they were to move right, there would be a gap on the right side of the house instead.

Please fix but don't lock - I'm still dying to hear a solid, confirmed conclusion on the DS mod!

I have to say though, I never knew that particular scat picture (far right, second from the bottom) was still making the rounds today. I first downloaded it from a BBS when I was about 10 or 11, many many years ago, and at the time I couldn't conceive of anything more sick. Kinda cool to see that the sick fucks who made that compilation are still honoring our rootz!
