The original poster hosted pics on a site called discountporn.org. The site, noticing (perhaps automatically) that these pics were being directly linked to somewhere and costing bandwidth usage, replaced them with its own pics.

Didn't the original poster think that site name was a little shady? I mean, discountporn.org! Think!

The GBA carts are a different shape to GBC carts because they activate a phyisical switch in the GBA and GBASP to change the voltage from 3.5v (for GBA games) to 5.5v (for GBC games).

There is no such switch in this mod.

However, The DS must have at least some of the GB/C hardware present for it to be able to play GBA games as GBA games can access and use the soundchip from the GBC even when the GBA/SP is in 3.5v GBA mode. However, this is the only original GB/C component that you have access to from the GBA mode. The z80/ram/vram and all other GB/C hardware is inactive when the switch is in 3.5v mode.

I call bullshit and i'm certainly not gonna risk ruining my DS to prove it. The DS clearly isnt running at 5.5v or the GBA roms would not function and i see no way that this mod can effect that fact. Until someone outside of the site in question posts a video of a stripped GBC cart inside a stripped & clearly modded DS running the GBC game i wouldnt touch this with someone else's barge pole.

If that doesnt make you think twice just ask yourself why nintendo would leave out the functionality? it makes no sense if all the hardware is present..

There's a reflection of the other screen, but no reflection of the game. On top of that, there's not cart sticking out from the bottom of it (you'd see at least a little bit of a gray GB/C cart in the pic). This is supa awesomah fake.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's showing a pic of the old GB dr mario, but if it really was running on the DS, wouldn't it be a bit enhanced because the DS, like the GBA adds some colors to old games?
