What do we consider begging though?

Honestly I would consider begging when people enter the same thread doing repeated demand things, similar to what GP users do.
Everytime theres a game discussion, theres people either demanding a PRO version or the similar "no pro no buy". Isn't much different from GP beggars if you ask me. I wouldn't consider making an exclusive patch to a specific version of a console reasonable though, specially when we're talking about a cattering few fellas who bought them, but thats my opinion. If they make a PRO patch great, but if not thats ok to me. Doing updates from an old game is great, not that I wasn't particular happy for CD Project stream though, that one sucks.

It’s true. IMO we should have way more more pro patches. It’s few minutes of work ffs

Tbf there's a huge difference between asking for straightforward improvements vs asking for a broken or incomplete game to be fixed.
I don't think there's anything wrong with asking for anything as a consumer.. Be it a patch that improves visuals, fixes bugs, adds features like ultrawide etc, hell, even asking for ports to your favorite platform is also ok by my book, you're the consumer with the money in your hand, you get to ask for anything, and they get to reply however they want.

It's the weird moral superiority that I find a problem with, the "when I do this it's fine, but HOW DARE HE DO IT?" mentality.

It's completely OK. It's also a dumb way to do business when you can bring some new users or sell DLC. PS6 will be backward compatible with PS5 and PSSR. Now that we know they're outsourcing it's obvious they have too much on their plate and need to focus on their new game so they don't have another disaster of a launch, but they're getting help so there really is no excuse.

I don't think its wrong to ask for those either. I'm just saying one is morally owned to the consumer and the other is more of an extra service.

If a game comes broken we have every right to complain online, demand fixes and patches and be pissed if they don't.
If its just about ports or general improvements like a pro patch, although we have every right to ask online for those we are not really owned them. It's more in the realm of "I won't do business with you if you don't do this" or "Doing this would make me part with my money more easily".

…not much to add except it’s bullshit dev don’t own you nothing…even if you bought a new console.
Why does it bother you?
Let people beg. It is understandable that you want you shiny new toy supported by devs, isn’t it?
People beg or rage against a lot of things on neogaf. Let this be one of the cringe things among many cringe things all of us do here (including you). 🤭

From what I've seen that's basically what happened with CDPR and Pro owners.

I think that patch will eventually happen at some point, the demand is ardent and the cost might not be impossible to bear.

We, too, don't owe the devs money. They actually owe us more than we owe them because to get what they want, they need to provide something first.

I believe this is the supply to what we demand.

Are we sure that GHG is not a built-in ChatGPT bot in Neogaf? Because I do not understand how he constantly finds all this. I have specific questions for the site administration - What is happening??! I am already afraid to write anything on Neogaf. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

But this is a PS4 game you bought. They went out of their way to get your a native PS5 version for free. While others like Sony charged $10 extra for it.

And now 4 years later, they dont owe you a PS5 Pro version. If Cyberpunk had launched a month before the pro then maybe.

A shocking new low.

I see all these ps5 pro threads and still struggle to understand the hate for the console.
Lots of insecurity at losing weirdo console debates for at least 2-4 years. Weird PC people who supposedly left the console world behind but feel the need to constantly come back into console arguments, people who are mad at the price so they want to prove it's entirely worthless..etc

That's why I said it's supply and demand. If they don't want to sell more copies, don't bother.

But even with that, I'm glad you brought up that I paid $70 for a game at launch that was horribly broken, missing lots of features they promised, and glitched out of existence. They didn't have to fix the game, but they did even though they already took our money. They did it because it looks good on their company for their next project. Yet their first patches (if I remember) to get the game to where it is now was over a year.

Back to point, begging for a Pro patch isn't horrible. It goes back to the demand in s&d. It's also a good way to show off how graphically superior their games are.

I could see him having like 10.000 bookmarks perfectly organized and waiting years to get some of those out xD.

But why would you care if someone ask for a patch? I mean i agree with you with that the devs don't own us nothing, and regarding CP it's now in very good state on consoles, and also i don't forget that CDPR made a next gen version of TW3 for free, but why not let people ask what they want? as long as it's in good manner (people can be ungrateful sometimes or lot of times lol), i don't see the issue, and never also got why people hate port begging, let them ask away and vent out.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Not as bad as asking for a $10 upgrade or worse free upgrade to the Remake/Remaster
