Man i just finished this series and it has to be one of the best Anime series i have seen.

I honestly came into the ANime thinking it would be an average kiddie mech show based in the Full Metal Panic Universe.

Then i saw a kid's leg being torn apart o_0.

Then i saw Nina get turned into a dog and get blown the fuck up

Then i saw major hughe get killed

Then i realized why ROse lost her voice UGH!

Then i saw the fuhrer stangle his own kid

I thought the ending was a great bittersweet ending

Fucking awesome Animation Awesome story lots of twists and turn.

A+

FMA is one of the best anime series i've seen in years. Almost every episode in some way progressed the story (and not just trivial amounts), which is something many series don't know how to do well.

It's funny you should mention FMP, because I thought it was about that series at first also and so I put off watching it for awhile. Luckily by the time I started all of the eps had been fansubbed so there was no excruciating wait for the next episode.

The second half of the show was blegh. The first half was pretty great though. Final Judgement: B! </Leguna>

The ride was great, but I honestly can't say I liked the ending. In fact, the whole thing kind of fell apart after episode 42, I thought.

Why did Rose stay with Dante? Hell, what was the frickin point of having rose there? She didn't do anything. :/

and jesus christ, wtf was with that ending? I thought the whole opposite realms thing on the other side of the gate was pretty cool, but the ending itself, with Al losing all his memories and stuff....Gah. >_<

And there wasn't any explanation to what happens to Gluttony or Wrath. They just run away. :-|

Wtf was with the whole Envy = Edward's father thing? I didn't get that, and it seemed to just be thrown in there for the hell of it. Unless I misunderstood it. It was in either ep 49 or 50.

Man, if it weren't for the last 5 eps or so, this series would have been perfect.

Dante had her drugged/hypnotized or something along those lines. She was going to transfer into Rose's body with the Philosopher's Stone because her body was rotting too quickly.

Gluttony is probably dead, though what happened to him and Dante is pretty ambiguous. What happened to Wrath is going to be covered in the movie.

Envy is Hohenheim's son that he had with Dante. He died of mercury poisoning, so Hohenheim tried and failed to revive him. The resulting homunculus was Envy.

I don't really get how many people out there apparently didn't understand the last few episodes. I don't know that I've ever seen a real synopsis of them online that actually understood all of the major points properly, which I just don't get. It was all pretty straight forward and laid out pretty clearly.

I love the fight scenes in this show; very well edited and original. Some are even over in like 5 seconds due to a slip up on the part of a combatant. Realistic (in a "took a letter opener and a fire poker and forged a frigormous longsword via alchemy to kill you two kids with!" sorta way). :)
