Fun little ninja-based platforming game...

It's called "N"

One of those "simple, yet addictive" games. You control a little stick figure (the documentation refers to him as a ninja...) who's super-agile, and basically have to make your way to the exit in each level (150 total). I've found myself pretty addicted to it recently, and it does get nice and challenging at parts.

haha that was fun. to bad I don't have a pad hooked up to this comp.

I thought there was a a nice lode runner flavor to that, and then sure enough right there in the credits ;)

The best part of this game is that if you build up enough speed you can explode hitting the ceiling. There's at least one level where there's a tight pathway going up. If you just keep tapping the jump button you'll keep building speed until SPLAT, you hit the top.

I'm having trouble finding a mapper thing to use my controller that I can actually make sense or... or at least does anything. Care to suggest one?

I've been playing this for months. Get a keyboard mapper and play it with a nice controller, it's awesome.

Same. It's really great. It lives on thanks to fan-made maps and whatnot. Has a nice community behind it. the physics engine in the game is fantastic

Heh, I did that in one of the earlier levels. Saw the little shaft on the right side, and shot straight into the ceiling.

Has anybody completed all 150 levels yet? I'm up to 24-4 (Pitcher Plant), and it keeps kicking my ass.

That's the best part?

so I got that joy2mouse3 thing... I dunno if it doesn't like my computer, my gamepad, or it doesn't like this game or what but while it "works" it feels... I dunno... I'm not quite sure... the timing feels "off"... I guess?

basically tasks in the game that were stupidly easy... say... wall jumping up a wall are suddenly extremely difficult using my gamepad =\

any suggestions of things to try?

anyone else avoid this thread like the plague because they thought it was about I Ninja?

I hope I'm never stuck with you avoiding the plague, because you somehow found your way in here :D

If anybody's interested, a new version (1.3c) was released recently! The three main things they've added...

- Object interaction after death. Now you can get ricocheted all over the place by mines/drones/etc. Makes the constant dying a lot more amusing and less frustrating.

- 150 new levels, bringing the grand total up to 300!

- Online high scores! You can access an online high score database to not only see how your scores rank by level and episode, but also view replays of the top 20 high scores for each level and episode!

Glad to see that this thread was talking about the game I was thinking about. A definite reccomended download for all.

Oh and thanks for the update Vlad, I didn't know there was an updated version.

I just finished the 150 levels from 1.2, and then they immediately go and give me 150 more ^_^
