Funny translated stuff from game boxes in Quebec

Since the Office De La Langue Française made a case for the "french inserts and instruction manuals", I've seen quite a few things that were, huh, badly translated, to say the least. There's also some things you see on a box that wasn't supposed to be on that box. A few examples :

If you see the headset that Hip Gear came out with for Xbox Live in Quebec, please, do yourself a favor and read that text in the back of the package, they translated stuff like :

Hip Gear : Phase de hanche
Talk trash : Parler le détritus

This box is seriously gold......

This week, what I saw was pretty cool, on the french Worms 3D insert, if you look at the Xbox Live logo, it's written :

Xbox Live Enabled / Jeu en linge (game in clothes)

It seems everyday I see a new one, today, MX VS ATV Unleashed for PS2, on the back of the french insert :

Race against 6 players with Xbox Live chat

I'll try to get some more pictures later...

Another one I just remembered is from Mad Catz, their N64 controllers :

Advanced control pad : Garniture de commande avancée

They probably just run it through some translation software and call it a day. No need to waste more money for such a small audience.

Yet they decided to listen to the governement here when the later told them "billingual stuff or you don't sell here".
Means we are an interesting chunk of money for them somehow. They could have said "fuck french Canada".

I think I would pay money to have a game completly voiced by Yves Corbeil. A 50 hours rpg epic with him doing all the voices at different pitch would be comedy gold :lol
