Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
On a related note I prefer the suits designed by Japanese. I dunno why but there's a certain flair to them.

I mean, I wouldn't wear a suit, but the Japanese ones look more appealing.

I know one of those losers, who even has a costume.

He's well dressed, fit, has an upper class job, and is currently on a vacation in Paris.

But true, true. Winners play video games.

Yup. Sums it up well.

Everyone has shit they like to do. It's harmless, and they enjoy it, who cares?
One of my wow guildies is a furry, works in the military and has a successful career. He's completely normal and you'd never know if he didn't just straight up tell you as much. He's there this weekend I know, and I'm glad he's having a good time.

look how cool this one is Ookami

no wierder then any anime, cosplay, or kink convention. People here need to grow up, at least these people can have fun and be themselves and don't have to hide behind their keyboards mocking others to make themselves feel better.

Say what you want about furries, but many of them are in fact very cool people.

Proof: Anthrocon furries raised over $20,000 to donate to the owner of Fernando's, a local sub spot to help keep it open.

I was talked into going to a few of the smaller furry cons and even stayed at a furries house for an entire weekend. They were the coolest, most hospitable people I have ever met, and I'll admit I was expecting the inverse of that.

The only thing I found odd was that most furries (90% of the 400+ I've ever met) are either gay or bi. I can't figure out why that is and didn't bring it up, but it's fascinating nonetheless.

I know it's in jest, but you're still making a joke about, y'know, burning people because you think their hobby is weird/creepy/whatever. Show a little class.
Looking at his post and his avatar I'd expect he's just trying to be ridiculous. It's a pretty good parody of how many people act in the US when it comes to dealing with things that are foreign to them.

That... that was what he trying to do, right?
Do you ask everyone you meet whether they're gay, or did it just pop up during the discussions? :p

Research has been done by professionals that have come up with fairly similar statistics. The puzzling question is why such a skewed ratio exists.

I don't see why it's so surprising that there are furry cons. I mean if dildos can have a con then surely so can furries.

I can only imagine the heat and smell though. I've been to the Comic Con in NYC when it was sharing the Javit's Center with an anime convention at the same time and man could the stench get pretty unbearable at times. It's just so many people.

And it only takes one of those people to not wear deodorant to fucking ruin everyone's day. I imagine the fursuits must make everything 10x worse.

well, to be fair
the few that I know are either bi or gay...
same goes for pretty much everyone in the furrygaf thread
I guess it just appeals to them more or something

Always pops up during discussion. Also, a few tried to come on to me and a friend of mine -- pretty strongly too. From my experience, most furries seem to be aware of this as well because they assume you're gay just for being at a fur con. I got used to this 'gay by association' thing rather quickly, and it never bothered me. I just found it funny at times lol.

I still don't understand why furry = gay so much of the time. I just can't make the connection. I kind of feel like diving back into that world to do a Louis Theroux style documentary, but I already know how most would feel about that...

You know it's a bit sad that I think i'd rather trust a room full of furries than a room full of anime/E3 people.

I roomed with 2 furries in college. One of them became one of my closest friends.

I MEAN LOL WHAT WEIRDOS

I don't blame you. Here's one last furry anecdote from me.

At Anthrocon a few years back my friend got super drunk and left his $2,000 Canon camera sitting outside and completely forgot about it. He then passed out in his friend's hotel room, and when he woke up his camera was sitting on the dresser next to him. His friend told him what happened, and apparently a bunch of furries went far out of their way to find the owner of the camera, and thanks to the photos on it were able to do so within a few hours returning it to my friend's friend to give to him.

In almost any other situation my dumb ass friend would have been SOL.
