GAF… what’s an objectively “hard” part of any game that you breezed past first try no issues?! Mine was….

Everybody told me the water temple of Ocarina of Time was brutal and took forever. I finished that temple in about 2 hours, no guide used, original N64 version. Either I'm a genius or there are a lot of dumbasses playing Zelda.

Oooo. Nice. That's certainly an objectively hard one

Not only that but Contra 3 is somehow so easy to me I can't explain. Any other Contra is hard as nails but 3.... Not that hard.

To me Ghosts N Goblins on NES is next level and fuck no. Never beat it. You? And have you played the "remake"?
Ghosts'n Goblins on NES is really hard but the arcade version is harder. The NES version is too slow, you can manage It. Never played the "remake". I want to, but after watching some gameplay, looks too easy.

Isn't the Blood-starved Beast from Bloodborbe supposed to be hard? Not like, DLC boss hard, just regular hard? I stumbled across it on accident and killed it first try.

I'm not amazing at vidya though, obviously, especially not slulsbornes.

As said. I've credit rolled Contra 1. Many times as a Kid with my friends. Not many issues. Yeah we played HOURS AND HOURS. But it's to be expected

Elden Ring, did Godskin Duo first try.

I remember taking my time and using the columns for cover a lot. Also like it was 4am and was super high. Loved that game.

Bingo. This is exactly what I made this post for. Well played.

Many people say that the Ninja Gaiden games—especially the Black versions—are impossible or difficult. I play them on maximum difficulty and I love them; I don't find them difficult.

Phew 😮‍💨 special type game skills for NG for sure. 👍

But then again, some say Dark Souls requires such. I can BREEZE through. Then get my ass handed in every other game I play

Aside from my beautiful Gravity Rush, I love games of all genres, except sports... More like Metal Gear Rising, Ninja Gaiden, Killer Is Dead... Of those genres, I'd like to try Sekiro.

I'm playing Sekiro now. It's top notch. But for FUCKS SAKE I cant parry for shit. Stuck early game

Dark souls "recommend" learning the parry. Which btw I'm a parry God in Dark Souls.

But Sekiro seems to require frame precision parry. Some call it a "rhythm" game. (No really)

And I've not found that rhythm yet

Everyone bitched about the stealth garden in Castlevania Lords of Shadows 2 being confusing and unfair but I beat it in my third attempt.

I've never understood why the Anor Londo archers have such a reputation. You can literally just jog - no sprinting required to avoid the arrows - up the flying buttress and then take care of the one on the right without having to worry about interference from the other.

Bingo. Thank you. I said this in my OP

It's a nothing burger. And not because I've got skill or "got gud". It WAS NEVER an issue. Never a problem.

Bonk the guy on the corner and done. It's simple. No threat really. That is the most overblown area I've ever seen in a modern game (hence my point)

apparently the bonus levels in Astro Bot are considered hard... I didn't have any issues with any of them...

Not sure I can Beat it. Maybe if I POURED 40-50 hours in. Maybe. I could
Like soulslike games, it proves the definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Maybe I would get a little bit further now and then, but then I would be back to dying somewhere earlier again. But I kept doing it back then. These days? Not a chance.

Genuinely first ever play through of Dark Souls took me 40 hours. That's exploring and dying and whatever else

To me that's not bad.

NOW? Oh man. I can shave that in half without much effort really. Not done NG+ yet. Ever lol 😂 I will. I will

Grandmaster is considered hard. Apparently

that was the only semi challenging one (the camera was my biggest hurdle tbh, as it's so slow that repositioning it mid jump is not as easy as it should be), but I also heard people having issues in some of the button symbol levels, which I find more than surprising.

Button symbol levels wasn't hard AT ALL for me. Don't have a PS5. Played tons of at my bro in laws. Beat it

One thing that comes to mind was Disciple Lorithia from Xenoblade Chronicles, which many people found to be almost a showstopper for them. I beat her on my first try. Sure it was a long battle, and I was on the verge of defeat many times, but ultimately prevailed.

I'm super lame. Never played that "gem" so I've heard, of a game.

Stealth sections in the order 1886. I did it first try and was confused over why so many people complained about them every time this game was mentioned.

Bloodborne first 3-5 bosses. Was my first souls game and defeated them quite easily( it was honestly harder to reach the bosses than to fight them).

I didn't get annoyed by any of the followers in outer worlds.

To be fair, it wasn't until I'd completed the game and started reading reviews and such that I even found out that you could have followers.

Got the final boss in Sekiro in four tries. I thought I was going to be stuck here for days based on the reputation. I had seen the fight on YouTube before which I'm sure helped.

I managed to beat a lot of later bosses in Elden Ring first try, because of my tank build. It got to the point where i could just roam in the obvious boss rooms without second thoughts and just brute force my way through the fights, without caring about attack patterns or timings. I even beat Malenia or whatever her name is on my second try only because on my first try i felt sorry for her and let her do her thing.

This asshole from Guardian Heroes.
You meet him around the middle of the game whatever path you chose, and the game gives you lots of dialogue options to avoid the fight, for a reason. Beat him during our first game together with my brother, although we died soon after iirc (but we still unlocked him for the vs mode, which was pretty nice).

Never had a breeze with trully hard games, always have to do my diligence or/and use all kinds of cheese tactics/better equipment/overlvl shit if i wanna beat some hard parts in the games with ease, last really hard part i have beaten was in ff16 with protag at lvl 40 vs S-ranked hunt dragon lvl 50 called Svarog and it was tuff as hell, needed to repeat fight for well over 2h and it almost fellt like one of hardest dark souls/elden ring/bloodborne bosses:
Fight in question incase some1 wanna see how hard it is when u attempt it underlvled/early on in the game:

Later phases of the fight are not ez at all, boss can take half of ur health with 1 blow, and even tho those vids/guides make them look ez, i guarantee u most casuals will wait till very end of the game(higher lvl so more health/attack/defense, better gear etc) to even attempt it.
Another relatively recent thing that required some kind of skill was getting best shield in elden ring -fingerprint shield, again vid incase some1 didnt play it:

The Last of Us on Grounded. No bother at all. But then I never played the game on anything less than Hard and never bothered with the wall hack as a crutch.

Elden Ring is a cake walk with a shield too. Sekiro wasn't all that either.

On the other side of the coin, I'm absolutely shite at most other games. My mate regularly mocks me about my lack of platforming skills. Astrobot being the latest. Even my kids laugh at me failing miserably on it.

Anor Londo Archers. Never understood the pain many felt. And I've faced them 5 times or so. Never ONCE had a problem. Just bonk the knight on the corner and I'm done. Simple. Never ever had any issue.

I'm not good at video games either. Skill had nothing to do with it. It's overhyped to me. The entire community seems to hype it up as some "thing" and it's just not

(Not my pic. Just used to show the area)
But you get shot in the back if you run for the knight in the corner...

Fuck no, this mission was ass and you got lucky.
No, it was actually easy if you knew what to do. There's a chicane when you go down the hill, you don't slow down there. You go full throttle straight into the kerb and jump over it.
With this one easy trick I managed to help all my friends stuck on the mission.

😂 damn. A souls king but shit on even astrobot. Love it

Doom Eternal's Nightmare difficulty. Never felt like a god playing this game since the Unreal Tournament days when I played online and fragging ppl.
