I saw the confessions about the good looking women and jobs and I have to admit I've seen plenty of the same and it's made me a bit sexist/lookist. Ok. My confession.

So I guess I'll just post it here, I was thinking about putting a thread up about this but I don't really think it's thread worthy. Especially coming from me people would see "Ronito? And strippers! There must be some great confessions in here!" And that's just not the case.

So there's this guy I know, we'll call him Ben. Ben is a well off, very handsome guy. He's essentially a grown up frat boy. Being well off and handsome he gets to hang with all kinds of cool people.

I agree but at the same time the level of cynicism was off the charts. I'm not saying they weren't happy. But everything seemed like a transaction to them. I don't want to say they were dead inside but there was a really weird vibe. Truth be told I still don't know what to think of the whole thing.
 
To be fair, being a high class call girl is not the same thing as being an average hooker. Their work is more akin to that of a courtesan than your run-of-the-mill back alley Sally. The clients smell better and are typically less dangerous. In that case, the economic argument to become a prostitute becomes a lot more compelling.

To wit, provided you aren't concerned about the loss of relationships or have any truck with traditional notions of virtue, you stand to gain a lot for not much investment at all and risk is mitigated to an acceptable level.

On the other end of the scale, the situation isn't so pretty, so to speak. This is more true now in the post-pill age in which the market for premarital / extramarital sex is flooded with supply than in, say the 19th century.

First off I'm not a member of polyamory gaf, nor have I had a threesome. But I do know plenty of people who have, some that made it work and others where it ended really badly. The ones where it ended really badly always went to friends or people they knew. If you want some advice I'd say get an escort or someone from craigslist or something like that. Someone that neither of you know and someone you're not going to see again. A big part of what makes threesomes not work is jealousy. If you bring in someone you know then the seeds of "Perhaps she prefers him/her" get planted and when you see them again it'll just add to it. If it's someone that you guys don't know and decide to bring together just for that then it becomes a couples' thing instead of one person going along with it and another driving further when they're gone they're gone. I don't get it either, but isn't it kind of like women and hands*? I've known quite a few females who say that men's hands are the sexiest part of the body. I've never asked them to explain it, but it's kind of similar, in that both are appendages that have a very utilitarian use. Or not, I guess, since at least hands can have a very obvious sexual use, whereas feet don't, unless you have a fetish for them.

The craigslist thread got me thinking about my experiences on it and how I mainly used it for hooking up. As some of you may be aware there is a personals section on craigslist. It breaks down into other categories with the main ones being "relationships" and "casual encounters". I myself never posted in the "relationship" but have responded to many ads.
