I feel like a lot of people have forgotten Persona 4 came out in Europe this year, hence my weighting to it as this is the year when I played it. As expected with this format, any portable choices I would have made totally get the bum end with Patapon 2 just creeping on when I'd like to have listed Giana Sisters DS, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Half-Minute Hero in there. Old system again next year please, especially due to the sheer amount of awesome shit planned for 2010 so early on.

I don't agree with the points system as I said many pages ago. I created my top 10 just like any other year. I assigned points just so that Persona 4 gets 2...

Ok, I've read the rules. I'm in NZ but the game I am giving 3 votes for is a US Import since it won't be out in NZ till later this year, if at all. Rest are available in retail or as digital download.

I just want to chime in and say that anybody who has NOT tried Demon's Souls yet should do so before the voting deadline. I had not played it until just recently and it is undeniably a top contender. Find this game and buy it!

Was actually hard for me to pick a GOTY this year. There were lots of games that I enjoyed but nothing that really stood out like in years past. Ended up giving DA: O the top nod since the only real downside was too many of the quests being padded out with filler / repetitive combat. 'Splosion Man and Battlefield 1943 were the two that ended up being just outside of the points.

If it was released last year in your region, or you imported it, you're free to list it. A few people have listed Bayonetta already.
 
Okay, I've finally come up with my list. I just wanna make sure though...episodic games such as Tales of Monkey Island are being counted as a combination of all episodes, right? If so, then my list is as follows:

Well there you go. Prinny is by far and away the winner here for me. I LOVED it even though I never beat it :( But the fact that the levels change depending on the order in which you pick them still gave me plenty of playtime. Also looks like I somewhat of a popcap whore :/ Not even sure if Chuzzle for the app store came out this year but I'll just say it did (if not then just cross it off). I love me some Chuzzle and Peggle just feels right on my touch.

2010 GOTY? Prinny 2 with my much needed baby mode :D

I've had a blast with handhelds this year. Although I didn't buy many new DS games, compared to before, PSP has really been awesome;
