goddamn, my GOTY would be gears of war 2 but for shitty online problems. and I suspect I'm only choosing Fallout 3 over MGS4 because its more fresh in my mind. Its very close between the top games this year anyway.

edit: took out RB2...while I do play it a lot, I ackowledge that it's just an incremental upgrade over RB1, and should have been a patch.
It's a shame LBP didn't go higher...it was all setup to be my GOTY until the broken online searching came out with lack of ranking and list display instead of the moon.

You see, everything we play has its flaws and you still managed to see a game that would fit your top 10 even if it didn't meet your expectations. Really, to fill his examples, he has to use:
1) making a bomb...well item creation is in hundreds of RPGs out there
2) looting a dead corpse...same thing
3) a skill to canibalize...same thing
WoW has all of those things btw, and so do a shit ton of RPGs out there. It's got a shit ton of more interesting quests as well (though a lot of cookie cutter ones).

Seriously, I enjoyed Fallout 3, but it was pretty soulless for the most part. The game is filled to the brim with fetch quests...I may as well play an MMO is what I was getting at, since at least I can socialize with other people while doing so. (I don't hate the game, just disappointed...it would be #11 on the list)
