That's a lot of variety up there. It's been a hell of a year. Not sure about the 3-5 ratings, but they all sort of occupy that same space, and I had an obsession for Boom Blox for a while.

Maybe not surprised MGS4 is atop the list right now, but baffling to me -- c'est la vie

I tried to think about it, but the only game to really get me truly excited was metal gear solid 4. I took half day off work, made sure to get the official game guide and beat it in 3 days of on and off playing. Which i never do. I told my girlfriend that that weekend she would either have to watch me play the game or that she would see me in a few days, hahaha.
After I beat the game at like 2 in the morning with work the next day I felt totally satisfied with the game and wanted to play it again right away.

I had a hard time deciding on which game to put in first place but Dead Space is simply my most joyful gaming experience of the year.

For me, MGS4 takes it, its a masterpiece in every way. R2 comes a close second for the co-op alone, addicting to put it mildly.

I've got my list typed up in a text document but I'm going to give these games I'm playing one more day to impress me.

I too am completely surprised by the MGS votes. I hadn't heard anyone talk about it for months and thought that, as a result, no one thought it was anything special. I'm not going to argue though because I haven't played it.

Same here. I guess it's just not the kind of game that keeps a live thread going like LBP does I guess.
