Radioactive was disappointing because all the leaks were basically dope. It was when everyone got the bootleg and heard the transparent for the girls tracks that people got salty. As far as quality goes i still think it's better than Lasers by a country mile. and probably at a dead heat with WTT.


Overrated junt of the year is LiveLoveASAP. Shit's not interesting or original in any way from where im sitting.

Lasers would take this award, but I wasn't looking forward to it! haha. Odd that you would think Radioactive was worse than Lasers though. Thought you were a big Lupe buy overcast? Laser was certainly further from the mark than Radioactive.

I think WTT would of been my biggest disappointment if i was in anyway hyped for it. H.A.M. had me prepared for garbage.

It does get better after a few listens, but still; it takes the award for my disappointment of the year too. I mean, I was hyped after 'Hard White' dropped, then 'Throw it Up' dropped and that should have had my ass in the hospital, it went so hard. What I got in the end was an album really like neither of those.

Co-sign this whole post. ASAP's overrated as hell. He brings nothing new to the table at all, and I'm not going to give him some kind of credit just cause he doesn't completely gutterfuck Clams production.

No one should be surprised at Ayomari & Tiron's output at this point: MSTRD, Ketchup,En Kärlekshistoria EP, and The PB&J Solution all range from good to great.

If you're talking about T & A, that was comprised mostly of outtakes and bsides if you will. Not even really a legit mixtape, but simply a warmup for A Suck For Pumps.

I could live until I'm 1000 and I will never see what anybody likes enough in that album to consider it top 10 of anything. Hell, it barely charts top 10 out of albums made by people named something that rhymes with "pathapy" for this year.

Man I'm really loving this G-Side album. I didn't care too much for their last but this caught my ear immediately. The production is incredible. Reminds me of vintage Sega genesis shit without being grating or nerdy, endorse wholeheartedly.

Statik = I'll never forgive him for supporting Terminology. Who thought an asthmatic rapper was a great idea?
Evidence = meh.
DJ Muggs = I don't know enough of his shit, tbh.

Hearing him on LiveLoveA$AP without his usual horribad mixing actually threw me for a second. I don't mind the sound at all, and actually think it opens up an interesting creative avenue, but he hasn't exactly done much with it besides sound like shit.

Yeah, he doesn't have much material out there with decent recording gear. The mixtape and the Miami Bass song are about it. There's some older stuff on YT.

Give him a year to get another mixtape together. If SpaceGhostPurp sells out and starts using clean ass beats, I'm quitting rap. Dude is my current rap hero.

I always thought Xzibit was mad underrated, he's nice as fuck but doesn't come off like he's trying too hard. I like the Slaughterhouse guys but they usually sound like they're trying to spit the most rappity rap lyrical miracle shit of all time and it just doesn't work out the way it was supposed to. X is a technically skilled MC who has no problem making enjoyable songs and verses.

i agree. i dont really fuck with the Fader as far as rap content although its cool to see who they give shine to. i just like the look and style of the magazine. i'd like to work for a magazine or website at some point, so i like to pick up random magazines to study the aesthetics.

Whatever the next album is, I hope there's more Soundtrakk production and 1500 or Nothin' production. That's what I thought would happen when he leaked Go To Sleep and SLR. Please no MDMA featured, too.

I think he will. He seems to be having a lot of fun, so hopefully that translates into a creative spark. I do hope that if he uses the Food & Liquor II title, he makes it sound like an evolved version of the first album, not like FOTP.
