I totally mean to and I like some of Rae's verses on Ironman better than some on OB4CL by large margins but that wasn't the point of my list. Why is OB4CL Ghost's album, but you don't give Rae the same respect and acknowledgement for Ironman?
I'm trying this out right now. Not bad at all. This Mac and Devin Go To High School Ost is pretty smooth, why couldn't get this instead of Rolling Papers Wiz?

Shits on Rolling papers from great lengths (although that's not saying much)
Might not even be worth a post but Cannibus - J Clone
Canibus said:Currently, new artists such as J Cole have continuously mentioned me as their favorite artist, shouted me out in articles, magazine/online interviews, and even gone as far as starting off show sets by playing some of my earlier material to warm up the audience and give off the impression that he is real hip hop and loves real lyricism. Cole might say he does this to pay homage, but in reality, by him playing my older material owned by my former label dating back to 1998, subsequently overlooking my current works and contributions which directly benefit me now, he is treating me less like an artist that has, and continues to contribute, influence, and inspire an even younger generation of MC’s coming up, and more like an artist that has physically passed on already(i.e. Tupac, B.I.G., Big L, Heavy D, Eyeda): you get the point I’m trying to make. I can’t help but to think that he is not nearly as sincere or genuine as he would like real hip hop heads to think he is because he speaks about me like I am dead. What he is doing is underhanded and disingenuous and whether it is his idea or not, I don’t agree with his tactic and I have something to say about it.
Was I so ahead of my time back in 1996 that people are currently unable to comprehend the jewels I continue to offer hip-hop NOW in 2012?
Do some real research folk. I am currently 12 albums deep, and I challenge anyone with a high school education or better to dispute the validity of the cutting edge Hip Hop music I still contribute to the art form on a yearly basis. Whether you ever wanted to collaborate on a track with me or not is your prerogative, I only ask that in your efforts to “pay homage” you don’t overlook my current offerings to this genre I still love very much and defend to the fullest.
Some might look to label me as an older head picking on a younger head who claims to have been influenced by me, but I refuse to let anyone including him stand on what we built, and pompously extract only the parts that suit them and their undermining intentions under the guise of “paying homage”. I’m sick of it. That’s fake, fraudulent, and misrepresents mine and others contributions, and significance to hip-hop music. After watching many many interviews of Clone, I mean Cole “pay homage”, I decided to pay some homage to him myself because I am still alive and well and ready to throw down for Hip Hop.
Respectfully yours,
Captain Cold Crush
i feel you on this. how big of a past does ASAP have? His oldes tracks only seem to go back like 1 or 2 years. where did he come from?1. asap rocky - liveloveasap
"goddamn...how real is this?" and i guess that is the question. how real is this? for a guy to come out of nowhere, and blow up in 3 months off 2 videos and assorted leaks. simply put, this guy is next. i havent been so confident about a rapper's future since drake dropped so far gone. the production on this is immaculate. a lot of people like to focus on clams casino, but other producers like ty beats, beautiful lou and dj burn one have some ridiculous beats on here. it's easy to say the beats make this mixtape, that's part of the reason why people love lil b. but rocky sounds like the rapper these beats were always meant for. i cant remember a new rapper to come from the start, with such a mastery of flow and mic presence in general. he's crushing these beats like if rikishi sat on michael cera. rocky spends a lot of time rapping about purple shit, drank, and just how flashy a motherfucker he is in general. but it works because he says it in such a factual way that there's no doubt. if liveloveasap had dropped and was only average, nobody would've blamed him, because honestly he isnt supposed to be this good yet. and yet he is. and i cant wait to see what comes next.
fav song: brand new guy
All the time. Love the way they discuss the albums together.Anyone every watch Dead End Hip Hip? Pretty good reviews:

I pretty much loathe that list. Though two of my favorites are on it.
i struggled with that. but then i checked lastfm to see what i listened to the most and i couldnt fight it.
im not sure exactly.it's like he just popped up on youtube as the finished article. although there's some really old freestyles of him on youtube.
as far as the ASAP crew, he joined them around 07 i think.
which 2?
This .gif right here... :lol
Damn Recon, am I becoming that predictable?
I know I'm late, not sure if "A N*gger In Northface" by some dude named Legit from Chicago was posted. Was going through the 2dopeboyz pages and found this gem... great video to match the song too.

I am legitimately hyped for Birdman's album. Don't give a fuck, that shit will be fun as hell.
What he said:
Song is good, but that video is really kinda of predictable and laughable. I mean, it was good until that ridiculous ending.
This is probably me being nice, but I didn't find it predictable, as much as I found it far too heavy handed. The feeling really kicking in with that museum segment.
What a whiny, insecure little bitch. Canibus, you're fucking lucky kids even know who the fuck you are, because those of us with a little salt on us just remember you as the little bitch who tried to be LL and then got smacked down when you tried to stand up to him. Nice little stab at relevancy, but attacking J. Cole? Come on. Go pick on somebody who isn't comfortable singing Paula Abdul hooks by himself. Of course, you won't because you'd take another L. Again.
I'm guilty of liking Y U Mad. But I've always thought Nicki was a good rapper.

Seriously dude...
Sounds like a Tyler Perry backed artist with all of that cheesy, unimaginative melodrama.
You don't think she can rap?
i am almost 100% sure your trolling and 300% sure your high. You don't think she can rap? Lighten up man, it's a fun song.
Y U Mad?
I mean, she's not a god on the mic, but she always brings a fun verse for a feature. She's the female Eminem to a tee.

The same way Drake talks about falling in love with whores for 17 tracks... Except Krit mixes it up a lot more.So i've been listening to this Big KRIT mixtape, holy shit how many time can you talk about wood grain, cant paint, Cadillacs....
album is 3.5/5 at best
I agree. Just without the talent and skill, and subject matter. Actually, they are nothing a like.
