No ID killed it on Finally Famous. he should just win off that + his crazy body of work this year. Alc did work too, but not at No ID's level.

For me this year:

No ID
Kanye
Kno
Alc
Burn One/Drumma Boy/Just Blaze
Ski Beatz

What did Kanye do this year? Because what he did, even with my dislike of WTT, was just tweak others production right?

Not much. But what's there is for the most part good. Haven't heard the CyHi track though. Not sure what your referring to with him tweaking other's production though, is there something not listed there? Don't think he'd have time to co-produce other's tracks all year.

I wouldn't put Kanye in for producer of the year though.

Pretty much, but given Kanye's nature I'm gonna assume that he was pretty heavily involved (this obviously ranges from track to track). Pretty sure he produced Otis completely too.

edit: yep

Finally! I can get back into the GAF-Hop thread, just got done with all my Finals for Uni.,haven't been listening to anything for the past week or so.

On WTT: after listening to the album these past few months, the production isn't really all that special to me, Murder to Excellence is my favorite as well. I actually enjoyed No I.D.'s track "Primetime" more than most of the production from the album.

Same, except I only like the murder part, the excellence part was pretty boring

Still can't believe Swizz Beatz was responsible for that, dude should produce like that more often.

Same, I was really surprised. I can almost always spot a swizz beat, even when its catchy, its still just basically a remix of every beat he's ever made.

errr, what is this supposed to prove to me? Once again its just another swizz beatz remix and why in gods name would you make me listen to tyga you cruel cruel human being. You make baby jesus cry.

Haha i was actually totally agreeing with you, just put out Swizzy's latest track to really show how true this was. His ridiculous shoutouts make every track better though. Also Alicia Keys. And Tyga... I actually had some hope for his tape, but I know see the error of my ways.

I drink too much and have rotted portions of my brain away, so sometimes it takes me a while to understand posts.
There are times when a swizz beat gets me hyped as fuck, that one he did for busta where he sampled iron man for instance. It was the same exact fucking beat he has made a million times before but he always manages to find a way to make it entertaining for at least a few listens. I would never call him a great producer, but he is an entertaining one.
But tyga could ruin any beat.

So I just listened to BayTL. Zaytoven is awesome as always. Gucci had some killer verses. V Nasty was even worse than I could've imagined. Someone needs to go through the album and just cut all of her verses & hooks out so I can bump this on the reg.

I havent really had a single prod stand out this year. Maybe Clams. What are yall puting No ID up for? I cant think of much this year. Team WTT and TDE producers do it for me. If Kendrick put a damn CD out i would know their names.

Sample of my beat tape/upcoming album. Produce by me, Toku and Yang Zse.

T.I.'s reality show is awesome.

T.I. (confessional camera): So Taylor Swift's people contacted me, they got a show they'd like me to come out on stage for. I'm ponderin'.
His daughter: I love Taylor Swift. You should definitely do it.
T.I.: It's not about her though, it's about the audience and how they will receive T.I. You know, T.I.'s so, you know, hrmmmm *does muscle man pose*, you know what I'm saying?
