I haven't been listening to much hip hop lately, mostly electronic shit. That and every time I visit this thread I always catch the tail end of a meltdown after someone says something reckless.

i beat SH homecoming on ps3 & 360 both, saw all endings, so id likely've just sat on it anyway - if you go in with lowered expectations than youd have for older SH titles, you should enjoy it though.

So I just listened to A Sucker For Pumps. Might need to rejig the AOTY list a bit based off of this first listen. Gotta let it digest some though before I get ahead of myself.

A Sucker For Pumps is just so damn good. TiRon channels a bit of Kanye in there too.
Never said otherwise. He isnt copying or aping, just sounds slightly similar, which isnt a bad thing with the vibe he has going. He just sounds similar, and its a good thing.
A tiny bit maybe, but it sounds so damn unique.
The only word that comes to mind while listening to it is eclectic. There's so many different sounds and compositions of sounds in this one tape. Maybe it's just in the context of everything else I listen to but this entire album just sounds FRESH.

I think T&A work because of the fact that they don't attempt for pretense in the slightest. Their lyricism is witty enough to avoid the complaints of it being bad, but hardly enough where you have to think on any of the lines. The dudes just write fun music, something that isn't done all that much, surprisingly.
