Haven't gotten around to the new Face yet, but I'm hearing a lot of mixed reactions. A lot of jayehh.gif, a lot of jaydirtoffyashoulder.gifs.

I'm guessing Jay Rock didn't drop because of more fuckery?

Man I've already completely soured on jay rocks new thing. I was all looking forward to it but they've just pulled some real shit with the release of it to the point where I almost don't even want to bother with it anymore. Like really, you're going to drop a release date on us now? A fucking release date is supposed to get your fanbase hyped when we all know that shit has been ready to go for over a month now. Just drop the damn album at this point and get it over with.

Lmao. I passed on the CE, despite being a huge MGS fan. I just don't need the shitty collectibles anymore.

Last special edition I bought was Halo Reach's super $150 edition or whatever. The statue it came wasn't worth it in the least.

I want more $70 or $80 collector's editions. Behind the scenes shit, a good steelbook, maybe the soundtrack and a map, and that's it. I don't need any figures or busts of the main character's head (lookin' at you Witcher 2).

lol @ the idea that TDE got the preorders they wanted. Yea right. That shit is currently #193 on iTunes. Almost half of an 11 song album has been released, for what?

And you know that once the first week numbers come in we'll have to deal with a "fans yall gotta do better, we only sold x copies" bullshit tweet.

I won't be buying the album.

my favorite thing about that one was how i struggled to put together this ragtag team, right? hired the right affinity (apparently libras get along with us aquarians or some shit), leveled em up & outfit em right...just to start meeting dudes like Orlandu that'd show up like "hey, i'm gonna bench 2 people of your squad real quick by doing what they both do better".

you drop your whole lineup by the end. and novelty aside, there's zero reason to keep Cloud, if you even bother.

I am gonna listen to that shit before I buy it. Rock gonna have to earn money with a good album. I wouldn't blind buy it. Hasn't dropped near enough to earn that respect.

First two tracks of rodeo are cool. Not a fan of "Dis Side" but the first half of track 2 was fire.

I mean, holding back work is no good at all. But these dudes also need to make good music. Rock didn't really deserve a lot of hype but that shit just came from delaying it and creating a pedastal for it to clumsily lay on. Kendrick has all my respect (surprise), I'm expecting Rashad and Q to deliver on their next albums. Though if Q fails me... 👀

a major rule for signing with TDE and/or Aftermath is that you can't release mixtapes, go on tour, or really do anything positive to grow or nurture a fanbase
