It'll still be GAF-Hop AOTY don't worry. My campaign for DS2 AOTY seemingly has hit a bit of a snag.
OT hates fewch.
peters shots at fetty stay confusing
BTW Fetty's album is really good just to jam through. Fizzles at the end but man, it's really up there in terms of the number of standouts on an album this year.
Future thread is great and went just as I thought it would after reading the title.
On another topic, Slime Season just overtook Barter 6 as my favorite project from Thugga. Even if it's not as cohesive, it's simply better; Draw Down might be my favorite track this year.
The highs of Barter 6 are far higher than Slime Season.
It'll still be GAF-Hop AOTY don't worry.

OT is like a filter, it's a necessary evil.Few things entertain me more than OT hip hop threads
I like his singles, but Fetty's stuff is just slight to me. I don't know how else to describe it, his stuff hits, but it never HITS for me.
That said, I stand by my view that he'll be forgotten in 6 months.
is game just the most well liked dude in the game? theres no way he can actually afford this album on an independent label budget.
not terrible
Fetty wap exists to make other rappers sound better. He is pure diarrhea and the only reason I don't bleach his shit stain out of my existence is because he spreads his corn filled dookie pies all over some fun and catchy beats. He is the musical version of a reach around. You put up with your rectal dilation because you are getting some decent compensation but after a while you just have to push out and leave. No pause.
I brought up the game feature list a few days ago. It's always surprised me. I know we dont live in a "500k for a beat, 100k for 16 bars" time anymore, not with people selling 13 albums and calling it a success, but it still has to cost a fortune to get so many of the biggest artists on every single album and mixtape he puts out. Either that or game just has that kind of influence. He isn't selling enough or putting out enough big singles to make it worth it for a lot of these artists to waste a free verse on.
I prefer to imagine game as that cousin who is annoying as fuck but also hella wreckless and you are kinda apprehensive about saying no to him because he threw a brick at your other cousin that one time when he wouldn't give him give bucks. So you just smile and do him favors when he asks cause it's easier than worrying about getting shanked or having your car set on fire if you say no.
Fewch stay winning even when he's not on the track, see e.g. V. Staples. This slaps.
Jay-Z said:'He (Timbaland) tells me his beats are better than my raps. I tell him my raps are better than his beats, It's an ongoing thing that I keep winning.'.
Rap superstar Jay Z and producer Timbaland have appeared in court for the second day of their trial for allegedly using a sample in Big Pimpin' without the original artist's permission.
The 1999 track - the most successful single on Jay Z's fourth album - uses four notes from the Egyptian love ballad Khosara Khosara, composed by Baligh Hamdi.
His heirs are suing the two stars, saying they did not have the rights to use the 1957 song.
Jay Z cracked jokes during his testimony, but also appeared to be taking the allegations seriously with no-nonsense, one-word answers.
The rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter, used one of his old CDs to illustrate his argument.
Referencing a credit to Khosara Khosara, he held the CD up to the jury and said: 'We have the rights as you can see on the bottom of the CD.'
Jay Z, who is married to Beyonce, had the court in Los Angeles laughing during his testimony as he argued his case.
The courtroom burst into laughter when he was asked by his attorney about artists her had inspired, including Rihanna and Kanye West.
'Some people may have heard of him,' Jay Z's attorney Andrew Bart said of West.
'One or two. He's running for president,' the rapper replied.
When Pete Ross, the lawyer for Hamdi's heirs, attempted to show him a passage in a book Jay Z had written about his lyrics, the performer wryly said: 'You can read it from over there.'
The rapper was more serious when questioned about the rights to Khosara Khosara, which he said he thought had been properly negotiated after issues were raised following the release of Big Pimpin'.
The Empire State of Mind rapper gave mostly curt answers, responding 'yes' or 'no' or 'correct' to many questions.
Lawyers for Jay Z and Timbaland, whose real name is Timothy Mosely, told jurors yesterday that Hamdi's family had been repeatedly paid for the use of Khosara Khosara.
Four notes from the song's 74 notes are repeated throughout Big Pimpin', a music expert testified Wednesday.
Jay Z said Mosely introduced the Khosara Khosara melody to him just as he was about to leave a meeting. He said there wasn't anything like it on the radio at the time, and he put together the bulk of the song over the next few hours.
The rapper said he likes working with Timbaland because they push each other.
'He tells me his beats are better than my raps. I tell him my raps are better than his beats,' Jay Z said. 'It's an ongoing thing that I keep winning.'
Mosely and many in the courtroom laughed.
Jay Z sang the producer's praises, calling him a genius whose work transcends any one genre.
Ross has accused Jay Z of lacing vulgar lyrics over Hamdi's melody without receiving the proper permission, although the song's lyrics are not an issue in the case.
Jay Z declined to say Wednesday that the song, which is about leading a promiscuous lifestyle, was vulgar. He said the song featured 'adult lyrics' and he still enjoyed performing it.
'I like the song,' he said. 'It's pretty good.'
Damn thought they had this shit sorted out a loooonng time ago.How is Jigga gonna straight up lie in court though!?
Timbaland and Jay-Z's court case sounds pretty funny man
