Good. Cut all ties with that lame ass fraud and bring the heat with Monster 2.

Got to listen to the new Gibbs, but I think I'm gonna need a few more listens. It's fucking good, but some tracks kinda sound like he's chasing something and not hitting it.

lol salty with the boy.

Full article came out and what you saw was clickbait. Check out the article on massappeal.com

Reserving judgement and all that, but I'm still very unsure of what Kanye is going for with SWISH or whatever it's called now. Seems like he has been too, considering the singles/loosies released so far and the delays. Say what you want about the execution of his last few records, but they were all very solid conceptually imo, Still trying to figure out his angle with SWISH.

Don't count him out yet, Piss on your grave was exactly what I wanted from him.

I'm sorry I hated on Logic so bad, he still generic, but he definitely put out his best project. The Incredible True Story > Forest Hill Drive. Good pop project rap. He's mastered the art of sounding sincere and heartfelt while shying away from bringing up any topic that could even be misconstrued into controversy or social commentary. Great effort, his best yet...

Light 7

Thats harsh man. FHD was a very solid project. So much better than his previous ones at least.

Piss On Your Grave one of my least favorite tracks of the year.

Gibbs album should be on Spotify. Gonna check it out.

I loooove the beat on Piss on Your Grave, but Kanye's verse is phoned in as fuck. I say that as a huge stan.

"turn this up teacher play this in the third grade" like god damn every syllable is a misfire on the beat.

immediately thought of that line when i thought of my dislike of that song
sounds like a yeezus leftover
which isn't the worst thing sonically, but i was definitely hoping for something that would fit on Days Before Rodeo, just featuring Kanye.

SWISH has the potential to be the worst Ye album yet if he can't decide on a vision, but 1, judging an album before it comes out is dumb, and 2, based on his history he always comes through so shouldn't doubt him now.

Couldn't agree more... shit is so bad. Definitely the worst song by far on the album.

Free TC is some of the most garbage shit I've listened to in full all year, and I heard a shit ton of rap albums this year. Saved Horses in the Stable, Blase, and Sitting Pretty everything is going in the bin. They even somehow managed to render LA into a miss after liking the leaked version months ago.

it's about a smooth 7 songs i'd keep
horses, know ya, actress, blase, sitting pretty, saved and when i see ya

I think I get what he's saying. The "time to be alive" referenced in What a Time to Be Alive never happened.
Am I right? Was that's super obvious or do I have no idea what I'm talking about?
Pretty sure we already called it out as being some made up bullshit

That's also a possibility.
Edit: wait...the time to be alive or the fact that it never happened?

It was bullshit. Mass Appeal edited together a dumb video trying to make it look like their Future interview (released today) had some juicy details about a Drake beef, despite the fact they were on stage together like a week ago. It didn't, of course.

Horses In The Stable is a nice track but so hilariously offensive it could pass as satire

It's such a great song and I keep listening to it but I have a hard time recommending it to anyone because of this. There's just something about it that pushes it over the edge of acceptable levels of offensiveness.
I know it's hypocritical given the stuff I usually listen to, but this song in particular is just problematic to me lol, maybe it's the huge discrepancy of the lyrics and the vibe of the song, I don't know.

Some pretty cool and interesting new shit:

JDavey EP

Thelonious Martin - Dusty Cartridges 2 (Instrumental)

The Outfit, TX - Down By The Trinity (Never heard em, but this sound cool, like if Outkast tried to remake Yeezus)

Jonah Cruzz - Cruz Control (Some more southern shit, more traditional, but dope)

DIANA (B-Side)

KidX - KidA Inspired EP, Pretty Cool, Definitely Interesting

SHIRT - Nike Adidas LP (Free Album)
