Really dislike the concept album idea from Logic
Find myself preferring Under Pressure more, seems like it had higher highs to go with the lower lows. But the alternative is consistent mediocrity, something I don't really want to tolerate over a full album lol
For the slew of releases these past two weeks, not a lot of them have staying power imo.

Finally listening to Gibbs' record. I get how people who got into him via Pinata are disappointed...sorta? I mean, it's still good and as a guy who's been following Gibbs, this is great. It's so dark and brooding. I love that he knows what he's good at but still is unafraid to try out different sounds and play around with them on tracks. This is a solid album.

Makonnen honestly sounds like the complaints people had about the first one - just a random dude singing off key in his bedroom.

I didn't think that about his earlier stuff, but this strikes me as lazy off the 1st listen. Might be a grower though.

Boring maybe, he isn't the most exciting rapper energy or charisma wise, but he is a fuck load better than these chewing on a bag of dicks mush mouth no flow timing rhythm or lyrical ability having primary school shit tier rappers.

Which is a perfectly fine position to have, but I think we get boring and terrible confused. You can be terrible but be entertaining, the same way you can be talented but also boring.
We also tend to give too much credit to some rappers for being entertaining though, when it's really the production that saves them. Without that they'd be lucky to get their own mom's to listen with cringing.
