Finally got a chance to give Life is Good a real listen to. It's good, with some introspective songs, but of course, as with any Nas album, there are the usual, "Come on, Nas, smarten up" portions.

I was actually listening to it today and was thinking two things:

1) The Don or Nasty? What GAF like better?
2) World's An Addiction sounds inspired. I just thought to myself I couldn't even picture what an inspired Nas looks like, but that felt like him channeling all the shit he's gone through into one song. I mean Nas has a million songs I think are one of his best, but this is one of them.

I like Nasty. Also considering making a thread about songs that feel inspired.

Definitely Nasty. World's An Addiction is such a fucking amazing song, and I've found that the only people who really agree with me on that or those who are a bit more "mature" and have gone through some things. The part about a doctor who's being pulled in a thousand directions, but is too preoccupied with thoughts of his divorce to focus on his work, plus he relies the money that he is making on this is going to his ex-wife, and he just wants to escape. I said, "damn."

Riff Raff is a good rapper right now. Break Away, Lil Mama I'm Sorry, Chop Another Rock. His hook game is dope. I was especially surprised with Break Away I didn't think he was capable of songs like this.
