I'm so behind with this thread. Haven't listened to the new GAF podcast, haven't listened to any rap lately, etc. Quick points

1. Guess who isn't eating an ASAP CD booklet mmmhmm. Can't fuck with my predictions, brehs

2. I need some new Danny Brown in my life

3. Anyone (thabiz!) heard Timeless Truth's new album? A friend gave it a good review so I'm curious

Whenever ace yells at someone I love seeing them backtrack. Just bow out silently if youre going to lick the booty.

Ice cold lol
What are everyone's favorite mixed drinks?

Also, anyone down for some Plug today/tonight? I'm free the rest of today and all day tomorrow!

Incredible Hulks
Tequila sunrises
Rum & coke
Mimosa (breakfast drink of the Gods)
Long island Ice teas

This is all I have of Baauer, not a huge fan actually:

Thats his only fully fleged release but he hasa more songs that that (Roll up remix, Samurai,Move to the Ocean,Yaow, couple more im forgetting). Personally this collab hes done is the worst of his stuff.

Floss are probably my least liked guys after they went into some weird hiphop/hardcore type phase but they have a few tunes.

Pretty funny guys saying "edm gtfo" when you have people like Hudson on GOOD,Lunice, Rustie,Joker, Flosstradamus and Ryan Hemsworth all producing for rappers or having rappers take their existing stuff to use.

(Feat. Lunice) and (Prod. Lunice) means he produced the song?
I know Lunice did the beat, I still want Danny Brown over TNGHT beats though.

Yeah its over a year old. Danny Brown said in an interview they never sent him anything. If you go back and look at Hudson Mowhawk and Lunices individual output it goes back a fair way, not to mention all the unreleased stuff I have heard them play. Kanye is still sitting on R U readybecause he is a douche bag :(
Oh yeah and that pitchfork or whatever vid with that Future guy was cringe because the dude was goddamn awful.
I heard a clip of Kenneth Lamar going over TGNT beat played to him on the radio during an interview that sounded better than that shit.

Ah here we go RE: Danny Brown X TNGHT
1.30 onwards

I stick with Diet Coke and Vodka most nights. Tiger beer if I'm already drunk and can't taste it. Or long islands if I want to get drunk quickly. But I drink too much so I try to keep it to low calorie drinks so I don't undo all this effort I've made to eat healthier.

Also, since I was gone when it came out, Blackace, that goldenage mix is fucking fantastic. Everyone has their own goldeage mix, with all the usual suspects on it. So I appreciated that you mixed it up a bit and gave us a lot stuff you wouldn't normally think of. Really fantastic mix.

if you see me in a fight with a bear, don't help me fool, help the bear!

Thanks trying to catch the feel of the era for me. And tried to represent all areas of the map

I'm not sure how many people listened to Gunplay's Cops & Robbers, it really isn't anything special, but the flow he kicks on Ghetto Bird is really something else. The dude went crazy with the rhyme pattern, it sounds simple but there's so much stuff rhyming in there, it's really dope.

I'm all for East Coast 90s throwback, but none of these cats give me 1/4 the vibe of classic Duck Down, Def Squad, Beatnuts etc. Joey is nice, but take him back to the 90s and dude wouldn't even make a ripple. I'd buy an album if he'd stick to his 1Train flow and got better beats. Geriatric Preemo don't count.

He'd fit in, and his monotone delivery does match P. Just seems like he's missing that intangible killer instinct that made old P compelling. I don't think Roc would have gotten much shine in the 90s either. It's too dry. Needs more pain and bloodshed. Not that all rappers do, but his style would be well served by a little more edge.

Roc Marciano would easily fit in the 90s. I honestly believe he's the closest thing we'll get to a reincarnation of 95-98 Prodigy

I mean he did his thing in the 90's though....

Only difference then was he just hadn't figured out his niche yet. He switched his style since then but I don't know if he would of been successful then doing his current flow since half his appeal now is his old school style. In the 90's he would have likely been slotted in between the greats in their prime like he was on that track.

Also Anarchy is an underrated album....

Yup, he is pretty much a dull knife that can't cut through anything. Prodigy had some really sharp lines that made you go damn.

Edit: man I thought that was Danny's single

Just copped ASAP on CD. Wish I would have earlier since GAF hop eating bets always end with a fizzle.

the only one who backed out was cacophony (punk ass), PD probably would have done it i think

CD booklets like 2 pages these days anyway.

good god no. that's the worst thing i've ever heard from him.
i do agree w/ the first bolded sentence though. Roc wasn't shit back then either.

I know he was around then, but he hadn't found his voice/lane yet. Can you imagine modern Roc over Havoc production in the 90s, or RZA? Shit would have been crazy. I think he has good production now but back then it would have been insane.
