Cole has become like Jay to me. Look, I know he's skilled and he usually drops something that's heat out of whatever he's pushing that time around, but I just can't be excited for it.

For Cole it's pretty much him dropping off of the face of the Earth after his first album dropped. Dude suffocated his own buzz hard.

Yeah, Cole definitely made some mistakes, and I wish he would get some outside help more often. But I have to admire him for being successful by doing it his way. He could have had great outside production for his debut, he chose himself. He could have had a ton of great features for this album, he chose to have no other rappers. He does things his way and he does pretty well for it. And contrary to what PP said(as usual he is very wrong), Cole did go gold with Cole World.

My get nice playlist consists of a lots of Nas, Curren$y, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Little Brother, Outkast, Big K.R.I.T., Action Bronson, Kendrick, Raekwon, Ghost, French and A$ap. The illest part of all of this is my boys and I tend to play Chess or Dominoes when we smoke....

There is something to be said for an artist willing to do everything himself. I respect that. Cole has also improved his production dramatically.
I agree. I definitely think he's a solid producer, I would appreciate some features/different producers to mix it up. I think it would do a lot for him.

I'm definitely listening to this album. I've defended Cole a lot in the past, so I'm hoping for the best.

What kind of playlists do you guys have for when you're smoking?

Just wondering which songs sound better :)

I like songs that slowly build up to an amazing high (no pun intended). I'll go to the bass heavy songs every once in a while when I'm high but it's not as often as I used to. Also, tracks with amazing guitar solos are almost always in rotation.
