The OG games were better, because they were super random and had better tech trees.. the expansion was basically what the new version of the game should have been off rip.. but oh well

and really FFT is maybe my favorite FF or tied with 4 for me
You guys speaking FF? Now that's something I can talm bout nawmsayin

I'm thinking of getting FFT War of Lions on my iPhone because sometimes I'm at work with tons (7 hours ish) of free time. Was thinking of getting that and FF4 + The After years. Games are expensive tho

I never ended up beating FFT even though playing it twice and getting really far.. But I was like 12 and thought boosting to level 80 would be a smart decision.. Too remember that the enemies will be the same level as me.. And then I couldn't beat a fight that consisted of Chocobos and Ninjas because they were either the same level or a bit higher than me. Shit had me like

Tactics was that game that shitted on your efforts, though...i had this squad, they were masterfully equipped/paired (even got the zodiac affinities right), and then bam, the game introduces Orladu, that dude who can do 2 skills better than the 2 individuals you had handling them.

it keeps doing it too, plot people show up and bench ya whole team - oh, you're A-level at summoning? how quaint; I'm S-rank at that and healing too, please have a seat

wait say what now, i thought he just left or something
and yeah i mean i hope XV goes well but i havent been hyped about an FF worth talking about since...XII, and it's been a minute since '06...thank god SMT/Persona replaced that for me a while back

Yeah I actually really enjoyed ff12. First one I had enjoyed since 8 really. Although I remember absolutely nothing about 9 so I can't really say if it sucked or not. 10 had some good aspects but they ruined so much more. 13 was just pure garbage. Not just one of the worst FF games, but one of the worst games released that year.

It was a stupid joke going around for a while about Wada injecting cancer into his eye for some reason. He did leave due to health concerns but it is hard to say what really caused the somewhat unpolished state of the game. Gameplay issues were afaik mostly ironed out with the International Zodiac Job System (;_;) but apparently there were lots of politics involved concerning the story. Basch was supposed to be the main char instead of Vaan for example. It's a shame really, Matsuno, Ito and Yoshida is basically my dream team for Final Fantasy.

I feel the same about XV. Looks cool but who the fuck knows. I never really liked Nomura's games all that much except for TWEWY and Dissidia which he "only" produced (haven't played KH BBS). We'll see. In the meantime I'll play Bravely Default and anything SMT.

FFT on my iPad is a great port, I'd say the best version even. Don't know how it holds up on iPhone though.

FFIV is the DS version uprendered, which makes it the best as well. The original and the PSP version are too easy.

FFIV After Years is dreck.

To be fair, I always tell people the shit they play on steam is garbage. Dark Souls is alright in my book but GAF like so many things gaming wise hype shit to ridiculous levels. I don't think DS deserves half the love it gets. It's a very peculiar game. It's not for most people and on that basis I think it's not fair to just blindly recommend it to people.

I just thought it was funny because I got to the first fire area and made the mistake of hitting the knight chilling there with my sword and spent like 3 hours beating him. Then rigth after I did your IM came in like "why are you playing this game"

i managed to get a couple more hours out of it, but that was about it.

Japanese gaming is shit now.

NWTS did the opposite to me and I started to dislike it more with time.

Liked it a lot on the first few listens, then mediocrity took its place.

the biggest compliment I'm gunna give Gambino on his new album is that I'd rather listen to this shit 5 times straight than NWTS another 1 time.

There's some live Death Grips album floating around. A direct Soundboard recording from their SxSW performance.

Album aint bad. Hard to call it a rap album because of all the singing (kinda like drake) but after one listen it wasn't bad at all.

Will give it another listen. Lot's of experimental sounds, YEEZUS influenced.

im waiting on Metal Clergy, not sure it's gonna happen lately

AOTY 2014, no doubt. Can't wait to hear the production they cook up for it. The thing delaying it is Ka. He takes forever to write rhymes. That's not a bad thing, you can tell he weighs every word that goes into his lines, but obviously it delays things.

I'm on "The Worst Guys" right now and I've liked it so far, but I don't think I've made it to the signing songs yet, so yeah

Shame that Yaphet Kotto isn't on the album for some dumb reason

So Complex has a top 50 songs of 2013 list. Pretty fucking garbage. Rap God is ahead of Dope Song.

Oh no someone likes something I don't like!

Rap God was made even better with that video.

NWTS did the opposite to me and I started to dislike it more with time.

Both times I listened to NWTS from start to finish was on long road trips. Didn't like it at all the first time around.

2nd time around this past weekend while driving down to Baltimore for Thanksgiving, I enjoyed it slightly more but still don't like it. The content doesn't matter to me as much as him trying to sing. Not that Drake is a terrible singer but dude pick a lane. I can't take you seriously if you go from singing about some girl to trying to sound threatening with some traditional rap song. I like the production on a lot of the songs but the pace kills it. It goes from slow to slower and out of nowhere comes a decent rap song.

I like Drake when he raps. Don't think he is amazing or the best but when he sticks to rapping he is decent and sometimes has a great verse or two. But hey if people at large like what he does good for him. What I would hate more is every rapper trying to be the same. Call him a simp or whatever but at least he does what he wants to do. Too many times even posters here say they want something new or different but the minute someone steps out of the traditional pattern, they are called soft or what have you.

Funny enough my wife was getting super annoyed with the album. When Drake sings "...pussy power" she was like WTF why is he singing that like a complete pussy?

So, yeah, I'm fucking with this new Gambino.

He isn't making any new fans, but it's better than Camp. A bit long, but it's got a lot of things going on. A lot better than Royalty which I thought was whack aside from a few features.
