Coming around to Owl Pharoah: The Prequel now. Some of this shit slaps so hard. He needs to give Paradise V3 to Drake. Shit would blow up the charts. Travi$ Scott put out two unfinished projects that are both Top 15 this year, goddamn. Combined with his work on Yeezus & Wrath of Caine, dude is undisputedly producer of the year. Maybe after Pharrell if you count non-hip-hop stuff.

He mentioned this a long time ago, before Yeezus even came out. Too many different things have been said since (from an EP, to a remix album, to Cruel Winter, to Q-Tip working on it), and it probably won't just be the same even sonically by then, because he won't do it until the fashion stuff has progressed more, and Yeezus was a byproduct of that frustration.
I still want to hear the 40 minute version of On Sight where Daft Punk and Ye just went nuts. It's a crime On Sight is so short.

Why would he make a big deal out of revealing the album date if it wasn't ready? Let's consider the facts. He has released two singles that haven't done anything on the charts, and he currently doesn't have any buzz. He also must have a lower budget than last time, when he released 4-5 singles before the album came out. Given what happened with GFID it seems pretty damn clear that Ross got delayed by the label, and now they're looking for plan B.
Prediction: within the next month Ross will release a new single featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, or Nicki Minaj.
Ross has been remaking BMF for a long ass time. It's time for him to move to a different sound. Also, when his trap shit fails he always goes to the Young Money well, and I think that might be drying up too. He needs to do something different.
