Nice track and it led me to that crooked-i track "Beautiful Murder". Best crooked track I've heard in a long time.
This Gambino album man, ugh. Halfway through and this guys' use of filler in his raps and combined with the cadences he uses are just ughhhhhhhhhhh. I don't mind the singing though.
Pertinent to Gambino but also something I've noticed generally from different rappers is after the Loaded Lux battle mainstream artists have been jacking lines from battle rappers EVERYWHERE. They all watch those battles too, so it's not like dudes have never heard of this either. 3005 alone has 2-3 lines jacked from very popular battles/battle rappers.

RIP my Battle Rap OT. It's so damn entertaining on many levels I can't imagine GAFers not liking some of this stuff or at least gravitating to some of these characters, and honestly, recently it's what I spend most of my spare time doing. There's so much damn variety and the storylines just make it even more entertaining. I love stand up comedy too, so when you see these dudes freestyle funny stuff or see some of the generally funny artists perform it's just a great blend of different types of entertainment I like.

Battles are usually like 20+ minutes tho, but I think they're definitely worth the time and someone can jump in midway.
It's a taste thing though, some people really don't like the cold street/gutter talk but I think it makes for some of the best examples of lyricism and some of the best battles I go back to like "oh this ninja really just said that". Depending on what you like. My favourite are the funny dudes and I can definitely recommend some since those are my favourites.
You can do one in the middle of the week. You can either assemble a playlist or I / Des can assemble one for you based off a couple videos you PM to me. You can make it open booth battle rap night or lock the dj booth, I prefer the former for strict theme nights because people eventually go off topic.

My current favourites:
- Hollow Da Don - Pretty much the perfect battle rapper, he has everything. Hilarious, has bars, can freestyle, has the most swag and crowd control)
- Charlie Clips - He's too funny. After that hilarious beatdown he gave X-Factor I'll pretty much watch anything he puts out even if it's subpar.
- Daylyt - This guy is just an unstoppable force. Not a fan of the gimmicks or how much of a loose cannon he is but he's so unorthodox and has some of the best pop culture (especially cartoon) references IMO.
- B Magic - Best punchline rapper in the game hands down. Bar after bar after bar after bar without filler. He's making pretty much every mainstay look bad right now.
- Charron - Didn't really care for dude but he's probably the best active freestyler. His image might turn people off but he's super talented. Shame he got did dirty by BET though.
- Hitman Holla - Most replayable battle rapper. The remixes are consistently fire and dude has some of the most classic rounds ever.
This is way too long to play in a plug session, but I would highly recommend Aye Verb vs. Hitman Holla as anyone's first battle to watch, I would say it's the best all around battle ever. Real animosity and tension between master and padawan, and both of these top tier guys at the best in their careers.
