I don't think he has any problems, musically. Not only is he just fucking dope and capable of writing songs, he has a good pulse on what sounds good. A lot of people clown him for the hipster shit, but I see that as him being smart. The thing that holds him back is that a lot of his music isn't accessible in terms of content, and his looks. Dude just isn't marketable to the mainstream.
Danny Brown is basically the artist that mainstream artists will take, put in a blender, and grind down - then sprinkle in their mainstream music. We saw this with ASAP Rocky a couple years ago. His mixtape was big, but he wasn't "mainstream" yet. Then mainstream rappers started using that Houston flow, and ASAP arrived on the mainstream stage. The difference is that I don't think Danny can make that transition.
A friend of mine hates Yeezus and says it's basically a bad imitation of Death Grips type shit. Personally I don't listen to Death Grips but I'm aware that there are more than a few Yeezus naysayers out there.
Basically Kanye, Jay-Z, and others have been mining the underground for awhile now and making it more presentable. It's nothing new (see: Nirvana/Nevermind), and I don't think there's anything wrong with it unless it's unauthentic. When I hear Jay-Z rapping like some 18 year old kid, he sounds completely unauthentic to me. Whereas I think Kanye is rather sincere about what he's doing musically.
Always down for some Bones. The amount of music these two put out is crazy.

One of my female friends ordered delivery last night from a Mexican place. They took so long that she passed out before they arrived so she didn't get the food and the restaurant didn't get paid. No biggie, shit happens, she was ready to pay them this morning with a tip for the incovienance. Then she checks her phone and finds a voicemail from the owner, some asshole American dude screaming at her about being a dumb drunk btich and how he's going to fuck her up and he knows her address and is going to come get his money. I of course immediately want to go to this guys restaurant and beat him unconscious in front of his employees. But cooler heads prevail and I decide to handle it by having him come to my place to pick up the money instead so she doesbt have to deal with him. Im sure he will send some lackey to pick it up but I can't lie, a part of me hopes he comes himself and gets aggressive with me so I can choke him the fuck out like the little shit he is.

See that would be my concern. If he was Vietnamese I wouldn't take it there at all. Nevermind the authorities, the minute I put my hands on a local, every Vietnamese dude in a two block radius is jumping me.
But with foreigners it's a crap shoot. The authorities might get involved or they might never show up. It could also come down to whomever gives them the biggest bribe. There are areas of Saigon where late at night no police are going to show up because the owners don't want the cops anywhere near their establishment. But a restaurant is a different matter. I'd say chances are if I went down there and started throwing punches I'd probably end up in trouble with the cops. Which is part of why I dialed it back and came up with this other solution. But dude said some vile shit to her and scared the hell out of her threatening to come to her home and beat her up. It's settled now but if he ever talks to her again to say anything but he's sorry, I will accept whatever consequences come with dealing with him.
Few months ago I caught some asshole who ran a gyro restaurant beating on his daughter. I went over there and had a talk with him to sort him out but some of the locals around advised me not to make it physical because the dude would definitely call the police on me, even though they all wanted his ass to get beat too.
Like I said I don't think I'm remotely any kind of badass but I see way too many older white dudes here that act like bullies and pricks to women but wouldn't raise their voice to a dude if a guy walked into his store and pissed on his face. Shit disgusts me and when it involves a friend who I am very fond of and is a sweetheart, I will get violent.
