the GOAT had like 2 years tops, and reached unfuckwithable status in that tragically shot time. WU's got some titles no doubt but spent most of its lead year doing fuckall, and 3rd party support may actually be worse than Sega had in '00 (Capcom alone held that shit down hard). let's not get crazy now fam

Just caught a bit of Notorious for the first time and I'm appalled at how awful and cheesy it is even after having low expectations. Also why is Biggie portrayed like an innocent by-standard in the beginning, that's bullshit. Puff is like a insightful self-help guru, what the fuck? Anthony Mackie as Tupac is such a horrible casting decision it ain't even funny.

Nah. It's just ok. If the Dreamcast was an album, it would be Art of War. Passable, but not really that good and followed by some straight gahbage.

Goddamnit Esch. For the amount of time it had, system had a terrific line up. Filled with straight classics, and under appreciated gems all over the place.
Might need to grab some Bronson tickets, only 20 dollars.
Yup, in the time it was alive, the concentration of good games was out of this world, first and third party.

I feel like most who don't appreciate the Dreamcast weren't a part of the movement at the time. Looking back now, it's just a haze of PS2 hype, but us Dreamcast owners know the truth. We know what really happened, and we still wake up in cold sweats thinking that everything turned out just fine.
Pretty damn accurate. I co owned a dreamcast with a buddy in college and while we initially were hyped on it, in the end the only game we really played a significant amount of was marvel vs capcom. The second one I think. Shenmue got boring within a day, there is only so much running around and drinking fucking tea I can take. Skies if arcadia was great but the gc version was better and nobody else liked rpgs in my group so I never had many chances to play anyways. Oh and the nfl 2k series, we played the shit out of that too. So that's only two games that got significant play in it's entire lifespan.
Other than those two games there was nothing much memorable about the system for me. People let nostalgia and the desire to feel like they were part of something special warp their perceptions of that system. We bought a ps2 after Sega dropped out of the console game and never plugged the dreamcast in again. As shittily made as the ps2 was (it seriously seemed like you could sneeze near it and something would break) it provided far more good memories playing games and it didn't take long for there to be so many good games to play that we were heavily backlogged. While on the other hand we spent most of our time prior to that trying desperately to find new games that werent complete garbage on the dc.
Ps it's already been 2014 for 6 hours here, just got home, so hhgaf I send you greetings from the future.
