Missed this but I agree 100%. I fucking cant stand these dudes that bitch and moan like little fucking punks about a show and yet are still watching it weekly. If you fucking hate it that much stop watching it. Obviously these dudes just want attention but it's just plain fucking annoying. For instance I get so tired of every goddamn thread that even mentions the simpsons becoming a circle jerk of gaffers talking about how shitty the show is now and how it hasn't been good since blah blah blah. You have every right to your opinion, but if you hate it that much WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU STILL WATCHING IT. It would be one thing if it had just started being shitty and you are voicing your annoyance at that fact. But these dudes claim the Simpsons has sucked for like a goddamn decade. At this point they sound like those sorry ass dudes who can't get over their exes and use their breakup years later to try and get attention and justify whining.
For instance when Chuck started to suck, I stopped watching. I didn't sit around complaining about it while still choking it down week after week. I will state my opinion that the show became stale and poorly written if the subject comes up, but I didn't keep watching and posting in the thread week after week after week after week while throwing a tantrum. It's especially pathetic when it's a thread about something specific, like that thread recently about the ghibli tribute. Rather than discuss the fucking subject of the thread, some posters just saw another opportunity to whip their little dicks out and begin the circle jerk.

Shit I'm drunk and in rant mode.

Shows have up and downs. No one here would've witnessed Season 4 of The Wire if everyone quit watching it during Season 2.

I didn't start Homeland S3 until the season was almost over, S2 had soured me that much. I was thinking about simply not watching the next season. I'm glad I watched though, I thought it was very strong. Way better than S2, and it resolves the weakest part of the show. Permanently.

Yup. And also the pure hyperbolic nonsense with which people complain. Stuff like "this show is such fucking garbage, fuck this show and everyone involved." At that point you aren't criticizing, your just taking the opportunity to try and be the loudest and most obnoxious guy in the thread. I could even tolerate it if it was funny the way a lot of people on here are when using hyperbole. But it isn't funny most of the time, it's just silly and childish.

But I'm also easy to please, so I often don't get the hate. For instance I don't get all the venom Lost gets on here. I have so many good memories from watching that show. The missteps in later seasons don't erase how much fun I had watching the first few seasons and the pretty significant amount of great episodes in the later seasons. First time ever seeing the show I marathoned the first two seasons when I was having my young and dumb post first serious break up depression and they were the only thing that took me out of my pathetic misery.



^ yeah same for me with homeland. I actually didn't hate season two but it was a downgrade for sure and I just didn't have time for season three until recently. Glad I watched it though. Carrie is still a fucking idiot who gets on my nerves, and it had some plotlines that seemed pointless but overall I enjoyed it and the ending was a good payoff.



I'm gonna babble a little bit more because I'm drunk but this whole discussion leads me to an issue I see more and more on gaf. While I feel like we can be a little more agressive in here with each other because we are more familiar with one another and the majority of us know not to take anything personally or seriously, some of the "discussion" I see in threads are bizarre in their hostile tone. It's one thing if someone is being straight up stupid or even if it's a serious issue being disucussed that would naturally spark emotions. But I see perfectly tame topics that have zero need for hostility turn into an angry argument. It will be some topic like TV brands and next thing you know people are insulting each other and throwing jabs at one another over a fucking Sony.

I'm reminded of the fake sample Geoff Barrow created for "Western Eyes". They credited the sample as "Hookers and Gin" by The Sean Atkins Experience. I searched for that goddamn song for way too long before finding out it wasn't real.

I'd love to see Barrow do an album with someone like DOOM, Earl, etc. I know he did a hip hop project a couple years, but I'd rather have something more focused on one artist.

I've alway been a fan of Dame but his many problems are clear. Beyond hubris and ego even. Dude has lost focus, he's become more of a ringmaster of a circus full of hustlers than a dedicated business man. Even as a small mid level entrepreneur no way should he be pursuing so many types of various ventures. It a crapshoot approach to something that requires a much more dedicated approach.

This goes to the theory that dame was addicted to the attention more than the money. As a entertainment mogul that's not bad thing, the vh1 show got him on his feet, but he spent more time talking about his motor oil,whiskey, and Jay in the article than he did about the show that is arguably fueling everything else.

Also its clear his anti "system" jargon is a reaction to losing his first business to the corporate system but the story doesn't mention how he didn't need to sell rocafella and in many ways got bamboozled into undervaluing his asset at sale. Jay outsmarted him and out hustled him by saying he was going to retire and that Dame should to (which makes no sense but dame likely got sentimental and agreed) and its clear he mentally hasn't gotten over that betrayal since.

If I was Dame (not that I'm nearly the business man he is even since he fell off) I would get that reality TV money. Hook Beans up next or freeway. They both need to eat.

Warning, I'm about to drop the dreaded B word.
Talking about ear buds, I got a free pair of beats ear buds that came with my HTC one. Far and away the best earbuds I've ever owned. Although I've never bought any earbuds that cost more than 20 bucks so they don't exactly have a lot of competition. But the sound quality, volume, and bass is excellent. No idea what they retail for, I wouldn't buy them if they cost more than 30 bucks, but considering they were free for me, I am very happy with them.

Jayblac my dude. What happened to JC A MAN NOW? We need that JC back. Like AngryFan said, dude needs personals. Watching the battle again, it's SUPER clear the first two rounds were written as generic shit and his 3rd was so much better and had 10x the effort put into it because it was personalized; something he should be doing ALL the time. Straight up don't take battles that close together if you can't deliver.

Seems like every DNA vs. Calicoe link is down but I thought that was a dumb match up. Heard Calicoe didn't prepare shit either, so fuck him.

how far did you give it? as was said, it's really just the acting since the plot barely moves sometimes. i get that it's not for everyone but i initially felt this way too, then kept at it later and it just kinda clicked.

really all that matters is that none of you are this dude i work with that goes on about how great Dexter ended and how Breaking Bad is overrated cause he fell asleep in ep 2...and i got training with this guy in a few weeks, ugh
