I realize the rest of the label won't reach Kendrick level but even ASAP Mob has had success outside of Rocky. Ferg had a couple noteworthy singles that get heavy club play, for instance. When I look at the singles Q has released, they don't even sound like major label releases. They're mixtapes records. Hence why I wondered why they don't get a Mustard beat, or go to Mike Will, etc.

I don't expect TDE to outsell Young Money, I just feel like they can be doing better. Bloggers love them sure, but bombing on Interscope is a blueprint on how to get dropped from a label...

If his unknown ass can do it, Q should be able to do 80-100K at least.

Maybe like, MOTM 1&2 Cudi... not Indicud cudi. I could barely remember the name of the album let alone a track of that piece of shit. I had to google "kid cudi album" to figure it out.

I don't really care for any of the Oxy Q singles so far. I wanna hear something with the laid back vibe of My Hatin Join or There He Go. That's when he fits the best. The Oxy singles have all been mostly boring attempts at club bangers, which I can dig when they work but I don't think they do with those beats and his lethargic delivery.

I know this is mainly for me and tguy but still. Really looking forward to Don Trip's "Randy Savage" tape which drops on the 24th. Wasn't a big fan but most of the quotable from Step Bros 2 that I can think of are from him. Looking forward to this one.

I think the beats Q picks fit him better than Kendrick or Soul on their beats, tbh. He matches his beats pretty damn well.

Toku is just being toku of course, but a lot of people had issues with Kendrick's off beat flow. It's the reason lots of people weren't really fuckin with him until after s80. He's much more orthodox now, and his flows pretty dope as a result. Unlike ab soul, who's deteriorated verbally more in a short period of time than any artist I've seen in my life.

Even during that Section 80 run people were still criticizing his flow which I personally never understood because he sounds great on that album.
