yeezus just rose again.
is that a milli worldwide or MURICA
RIAA is a US body only isn't it?

Probably US only. In which case they probably counted Google downloads if Google paid Ye per download. KTT is being a hen house as always, but they're saying Google bought 500k of them, is there a source for that?

EDIT: 633k retail US + 500k from google = platinum makes sense.

Lolwat. RemyD is dope, but I always thought he was a nerd rapper, I guess he just tried to be about that life and got played. Fronting a dude 12Gs of product though? SMH.

Didnt' bother to watch Ill vs O-Red. I generally avoid Red battles cause they're rarely fun to watch. Always feels like it's the other guy fucking up when he wins, lol.

On Ill vs. Shine:

First off, pretty short for a 3 rounder. the hell. It was aight. Had a few moments where I thought they were killin it in the early rounds, but it felt kinda flat by Round 3. I have it

R1: Ill
R2: K-Shine
R3: Ill

Ill came with funnier shit, K-Shine came with the better flow but he also tries too hard. Not feeling dude really as a top tier battle emcee. I like watching him gatekeep PG dudes though I guess. The way he flipped the Who Is This Ninja was dope though, I enjoyed it. I guess he coulda come with more personal shit. Seems kinda hard to lose to a dude who's had a nervous breakdown, which would usually be a career ender.

Yeah O-Red isn't really the dopest, but it's half because no battle rapper takes him seriously so they never bring their A game. Only O-Red battles I like are O-Red vs. T-Rex and O-Red vs. Big Kannon (if you haven't seen it, vs. Big Kannon is insane. BK spent half a round just rebuttling).

I think K-Shine had too many personals in his 3rd round, I mean I didn't want to hear that shit. I felt like he was just talking and not rhyming for like half the time. K-Shine has been around for a long time and done decent throughout, that's why he gets respect. Same for Yung Ill. I mean, Ill has hot shit from time to time but he has a lot of corny stuff / filler interspersed throughout his rounds. Off of him being on Fight Klub and some classic rounds (Who is dis n***a and the shot at GrindTime) pretty much all these MCs treat him like a legend.

These Born Legacy battles are sort of inconsistent, every single one of them has like 2-3 boring individual rounds. I think Clips vs. Surf has some replayable value, but it's still pretty underwhelming considering it's a weaker performance compared to the rest of both of those dude's careers. I hope Smack sticks to his word and starts putting more new hungry MCs on future cards,. B Magic had the best showing at the Sneakerbeast event, and now Ill Will vs. B Magic is supposed to be the best battle coming out of this event too.

Lol D Gunner called up to complain about his battle being dropped and got sonned. He quit the battle, that's why it's so short. What a sucker.

Roland is updating the TR-808
The original Roland TR-808 is one of the most influential electronic sound-making devices made in our collective human history, so when inventor Atsushi Hoshiai suggests it's time for a successor, it's time to listen up. When the TR-808 was invented, there was no such thing as electronic music. This beat machine wasn't the only device to help originate our modern music scene, but it was certainly one of the most major players, and here, 34 years after its invention, Roland is preparing a next-generation for the original, one called AIRA.

This device has been so very influential on the musical scene even through today that there's almost no possible way you've not heard a song whose artist used it as a main instrument. The Kanye West album "808s and Heartbreak" is referring to this instrument by name, and uses it for every single track.

I like how that Nell "Vice City" tape starts, bu it loses steam pretty quickly around the 5th or 6th track IMO. It picks up again with the Twin Peaks sample, Vice City (the track), and Bust Ya Head Open, but it can't maintain that momentum to finish.

Makes sense. He's popular.

I might see him live lmao. Hot girl is potentially going though.
He can put on a good show. I saw him when he was touring around Culdesac. I don't know what his live set looks like now but since it involves new material I'm gunna say shit.

secretly I know I'm gunna have to suck it up because the girl I'm currently seeing enjoys him..... Bah.

I think I like it more than Denzels last project

Telling you, they're out of their league. This may have made sense a decade ago, but now? The minute this gets shown it'll be all over blogs, tumblr, forums, etc. Everyone will see it.

That's why you think they're out of their league? The image being on Tumblr, blogs, etc? Fuck that.

These dudes couldn't even host this shit on their own domain. Not only that, they couldn't spring $45 for like a out of the box WordPress theme. You got grown men running what should be a multi-million dollar label and they can't figure out subdomains and List building for a fucking marketing campaign. Or how to pay someone to do it for them.

Shit is embarrassing. Kendrick better ship the fuck out before these clowns drag him down with them.

That's the point though. There's no exclusivity to this, it'll just be spread around the internet within seconds of release.
