Kendrick rapping off beat about nothing...nah. Give me Thugger over TPAB free jazz and you'd get a classic. Thug's flows are like an instrument.

I agree with the last sentence. Kendrick will always be the more talented artist and lyricist. Especially with the ideas he brings in.

But young thug has a godly flow. And yeah every yelp and screech serves its purpose lmao. He uses his weird ass voice almost like an instrument. Thugga is avant garde brehs. People will study him years from now baffled as to how he could make these dumb noises work so well.

Prodigy - Mark The Beast With It. Commissioned by Marvel to compliment the new Black Panther series. Only one meh verse, but the instrumental is kind of intriguing.

Clams Casino ft. Kelela - A Breath Away. Clams bringing the heat. So excited.

Joe Budden & araabMUZK ft. Fabolous & Tory Lanez - Flex. This is dope. Tory showing some range on it too. #ButtonsSzn

Lil Yachty's XXL Freshmen freestyle AKA the worst freestyle of all time.

Damn this is fucking fire. Haters in the building for sure, but Budden went off, was direct, and quotables up the wazoo. Take notes, Meek.

Also this recap article on the mess is helpful. The Drake/Budden relationship is interesting in general.

Why Prodigy 😞

I like DS1 more than DS2 but Future is still dope. He's the second best rapper out right now, behind Thugger.

DS1 is better indeed, 1000 is my favorite I think. lmao at calling thugger a rapper, dude is complete garbage. Kendrick, Drake and Cole rule the game right now for a reason, they are the best.

What is Kendrick running outside of media/press relations? Future is the hottest rapper in the game, Drake is the biggest, Kanye is the most influential. Kendrick and Cole have relatively large, insular fanbases that don't really tell us much. They never have the hottest song or really influence the game. I'd rather have artists who push the envelope than ones who think going platinum without features or having critical acclaim matter the most...

This weird cultish shit around desiigner is fucking embarrassing. Like taking Post Malone seriously or still listening to Makonnen in 2015.

Post Malone is legit, new tape is dope. I don't think anyone is taking Desiigner that serious, he's just a goofy, fun guy. Can't really hate on that. Brrrrrraaa.

Hip hop and comedy have a lot in common, so I figured I'd see if anyone here has any recommendations. I love stand up comedy and am seeking some new comedians and what their best hour is to check out.

Just to give you an idea of my tastes, comedians I REALLY dig are Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Louis C.K, David Spade, Carl Barron, Aziz Ansari, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Brad Garrett, Russell Peters, Russell Brand, Sarah Silverman.

Acts I don't really find all that funny are Steve Martin, Robin Williams, Hannibal Buress, Bill Cosby, Rob Schneider, Amy Schumer to name a few.

Hopefully that gives you an idea of my tastes in comedy. Thanks in advance!

If Post Malone takes his career seriously, so do I..

I mean, I only like two of his songs, but that's better than Anderson Paak, of which I don't like any.

Patrice O'Neal and Doug Stanhope are probably my favorites that I always seem to come back to but they're definitely for everbody:

Yeah that list pretty much covers everybody I like except Carlin tbh. That's all you're really missing.

God damn i wish Chris Rock did a weekly podcast or something.

Just watched one of his spots on Johnny Carson and I can already see how he influenced some of the newer generation of comics. Will definitely catch up on some of his specials when I have some extra time. Cheers mate.

Patrice's stuff doesn't really hit that well with me for some reason. I think a lot of his stuff is smart, but not necessarily laugh out loud funny. Can't believe his lines got cut off the Playa Hater's Ball sketch on Chappelle Show though. His outtakes had me in stitches.
Stanhope is definitely not my style.

Damn straight!
