Cudi checked himself into rehab today for depression and suicidal thoughts. As much as the guy gets clowned for putting out SB2H, it's very apparent that his struggle with depression and anxiety has influenced his art, sometimes to an unhealthy degree. It's interesting to see how much rap has changed from this art focused on machismo and strength to the point now where artists are free to talk about their struggles with their fans, from Kanye with his Lexapro acknowledgements to Cudi now. The album is still coming out, for all of those worried he'd push it back.
