Real talk, I honestly think this has the best chance to top BOTW.
I maintain Galaxy and Galaxy 2 are some of the finest platforms to ever grace video games, and the prospect of an HD Mario taking an open world approach to platforming seems like it could top the Galaxy 2 if Nintendo doesn't fuck it up by making the open world empty & devoid of character, mix up the larger sandbox areas with platforming levels that are tighter and unique, and keep some of the experimentation that made the Galaxy games so amazing.
They said in December last year it was already basically finished, but they're waiting to space out the release schedule. They have one big first-party every month or so. Mario Odyssey is there big Holiday game.

- Half-Life 3 isn't dead! That's because it was never alive to begin with, and now that key players of the HL franchise have left Valve y'all can wait for this shit forever (or until Valve needs money which LMAO come on)
