I originally had a larger write up for everything...but browser lost it somehow..so yeah it's a bit more lazy.
Ab-Soul - Control System; 4 Points
I have done a lot of flip-flopping on this album. Some days I think it is really great, while other days I think it is boring. There's something about Ab-Soul's flow that kind of bothers me,but regardless I feel like it forces me to pay attention to what he is saying and it's definitely worth it. This guy knows the most random ass shit, I swear. Who else would think about making a song around the Bohemian Grove? He is definitely an asshole though, but one that makes me laugh a bit especially with just little one lines such as "Oh you the kid? I'm Joseph Kony". I felt a little bit bad after laughing after that line, but either way I feel like Ab-Soul really proved himself with this project, he even touches on some subjects that are rarely talked about within rap(like kendrick did with S.80) with the song Double Standard.

Killer Mike - RAP Music; 3 Points
I honestly didn't I would enjoy this album throughout this whole year. Something about albums with instant gratification tend to get old for me, but nope not with this album. I enjoy it just as much as I did day one. Killer Mike is destroying these track and stays switching up his flow in every track. I'm also really impressed with El-P did with the beats on this album. I think both of them might have a bit of a resurgence in their career this year or at least I hope so.

Troy Ave - Bricks in My Backpack 3; 3 Points
I have a really odd love for this project. There's just a lot of things I love about it. He reminds me of a mix between 50 cent and Clipse. I'm sure he is self aware of that too because of the references he tends to make to both of them. He is full of charisma and his ad-libs have me cracking up so much. Troy Ave definitely deserves to be mentioned up there with up and coming NY rappers to me. Just an entertaining coke rapper. Ain't no business like snow business.

Captain Murphy - Duality; 2 Points
This came out of nowhere for me. I never really listened to the tracks he released this year and while I like Flying Lotus, I don't check for him like that. I pretty much went into this with zero expectations and what I got out of it was this hilarious personality created. This is really just filled with a lot of quotable references, dope beats, and rhymes just shitting on rappers. What I really love about it too is how well the beats flow together. I'd easily recommend this to fans of MF Doom.

Between Friends, The Killing Joke, and Mighty Morphin Foreskin
Ka - Grief Pedigree; 2 Points
This is pretty much nostalgia rap of the 90s. Ka can definitely be monotone, but I feel like his rhymes are so good he always is catching my ear to pay attention to what he says next. He comes off like an old wise dealer who just stuck to what he knows how to do best because other things didn't work out for him. His rhymes are just filled with imagery.

Dom Kennedy - The Yellow Album; 2 Points
Dom Kennedy isn't a great rapper, nor does he really try to be, but I would be lying if I said he didn't entertain me. This album has some really great sounding beats and Dom Kennedy does enough to make them even more hype with his occasional ridiculous lines. I don't really ever feel like his verses make listening to this unbearable. Oh and there's a great Too Short feature on here too

Deniro Farrar - Destiny.altered; 2 Points
Deniro manages to deliver an album coupling dark, paranoid, schizophrenic raps with somewhat experimental future-garage trap beats that match the large ambiance of his topics with a bass-driven wall of sound. Deniro is special because of his ability to meld the introspective with the shallow and then mold the subsequent contradiction into something interesting.
Yeah, lazy, but I agree with this

Schoolboy Q - Habits and Contradictions; 1 Point
Great album, a bit uneven, but the highs are so high it doesn't bother me at all. I feel like Q really step it up with this album when it comes to beats and his flow. It'd be interesting to see how much he improves on his next album. Either way I am definitely a fan after this especially since his previous album was only used as audio nyquil for me.

Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, Maad City; 1 Point
Obviously this is a great album, but like some great movies I don't feel the need to rewatch them all the time. I rather watch Drunken Master 2 than go back to Requiem for a Dream.

Money Trees, Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe, and Maad City
Shawn Chrystopher - Lovestory; 1 Point
I don't really know much about this guy, but he put together a really incredibly chill project that isn't boring to me at all. Has some great beats on here and he tends to mix up his flow so the project doesn't come off too mellow. It helps that it isn't that long of a mixtape either, it ends before you get tired of it.

Man of the Year - 2Chainz
Sorry, I just don't care bout no ratings Kendrick's album got. 2Chainz was simply everywhere this year. Kendrick simply didn't standout, not that it's a bad thing but he waited in the shadows and let his project speak for itself, but besides that album. I see nothing else he has done to deserve it. 2chainz had Black Thought acting as his hypeman/sidekick aka 2 Ribbons. 2 Chainz songs and such was referenced a lot within mainstream and underground. His presence was simply felt throughout the whole year and that is what qualifies as man of the year for me.
Producer of the Year- Mike Will Made It
This was his year without a doubt. Dude produced so many singles this year that ran hip-hop radio. He is easily one of the most sought out producers and it is looking like 2013 is already beginning great since he produced French Montana and Wayne's next hit.
Feature Killer of the Year - Danny Brown
I don't feel like making links for all his features again

,
but here is a link I found to all the songs with youtube.
