I enjoyed VI a lot, the first claim gave us a catalyst for the second claim, so the narrative and possibilities are pretty good.
And yes, I agree that not affecting its own VI card would have been better, makes the role far more balanced because of the risk of getting stolen, checked by the Mystic Werewolf or swapped by troublemaker, while also making it more interesting because, since there is always one player that is not affected by it, roles can pretty much jump one space.
