Speculation threads. I hate' em. All of them.
As for wrestling, for me, it's often more entertaining to know everything that is happening behind the scene. I became a much bigger wrestling fan during the '96-'97 era, when I began to be more knowledgeable thanks to the wrestling news boards.
So it's more than watching half-naked grown men choreographing a fight to entertain a crowd each week. That's why I like to talk about it all the time (online and in real life
).

I started to become OT exclusive for a period of time, after I had resigned from a job, and become broke and thus, no money to fund my gaming hobby. At that time it was just depressing to read threads about a bunch of stuff I couldn't afford. But a little while after I got F-Zero GX, I got interested again, and started lurking in the gaming forum again...then all the DS/PSP and next gen stuff started to arise and that got me interested again too. Now I read/post in the gaming forum more(slightly) than the OT forum. Besides, OT always has something to say, whereas the gaming forum can have slumps when news and game releases are slow.
I get the interest in wrestling...i'm just about 8 years removed from it. I grew up watching wrestling, and then in high school it become a great thing to watch and talk about with my circle of friends. It was just fun to alternate PPV duties and head over to each other's houses to watch it, pizza, soda, junk food, silly ass wrestling antics....total indulgence. Monday night RAW was a great way to erase the "start of another school week" doldrums. But sometime around senior year, I just stopped being interested. Anywho, it's silly and I knew it, and most people know it, so i don't know why someone should get upset if someone says it. It's like watching, say, Big Brother...i know it's dumb, and i don't pretend that it's not, so I don't get offended when people call it dumb.
And yes, it is VERY homoerotic

It amazes me how the people at OA stay on the radar screen at GAF, so much so that they get several page long threads devoted to them whenever they take a few pictures in their parking lot.

The obsession with shitty quasi-underground indie bands - Once a month (sometimes more), there's a shitty half underground band that many at GAF shoots their loads over. You download to see if its good and the recommended songs never are. Then you realize you've been doing this for months into years and wondering why you are still listening to their recommendations. The less organized it is, the more original it is apparently, and the cooler it is. Even more annoying is naming players that nobody outside 2-3 members know about.
Romance threads where some pud is getting stepped on - Whatever happened to being a man and saying, "Stop fucking with me, woman." That won't exist. Thats because half of the board would let a woman kick them in the nuts just for the GAF praise and the other half will make jokes about the 1-2 pieces of legitimate advice.

The way grown men can get into wrestling storylines like they're real. "Oh XXXX said this to XXXXX last night!" It's all scripted. I'm not questioning their physical condition, I admit some of those moves must hurt but why the need for a storyline?. "It's sports ENTERTAINMENT!" wrestling fans will cry - what? giving a title makes it any better? What other sport or entertainment fits into this category? Those fake punches badly disguised by a stamp of the foot are plain embarrasing.

Maybe this is the right place to ask (don't feel like starting a new topic). What's with the recent rash of Beyond 3D topics? What's the big deal about that place? Far as I can tell, its focused on PCs and PC gaming, which is fine and all, but why talk about it now? Are a bunch of GAFers on there or something? Just wondering.
