You all have some cute pets. Here are my dogs:

Rufus is a seven year old Black Lab Pit Bull mix. My wife bought him when he was a puppy from a breeder who's prize black lab got knocked up by a mutt. Rufus was one of 17 puppies. The breeder told my wife that he would not get any larger than 40 pounds. He is a 95 pound dog.

Ellie is a four year old Black Lab Shepard mix. She has a spotted tongue so she could be any number of things but we figured that it was Shepard. She was a rescue dog that we got when she was one. The owners were 19 year old kids getting a divorce and neither one could take care of her. Her name was Bella so we had to change her name but keep it consistent with what she had before.

Since this is on the front page, I just want to remind people to be super careful with their pets. My little mini schnauser fell off the porch on Friday. She must have broke her neck because she died instantly. It was between a 3-4 foot fall, just a freak accident. Had her for seven years, so we're all pretty shaken up. RIP Maggie.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a furry family member is very tough. RIP Maggie.

We got Darby 6 years ago and after about 6 months of having her, we found she was depressed (lonely). We went to a No-Kill shelter (brought Darby with) so she could pick out her sister. We went into a small puppy area and they put in 5 dogs that were all brothers and sisters (caged together).
All the puppies came up to my partner and I except for 1. Gretta went over and was checking out/playing with Darby. So Gretta chose Darby and we knew she was the one. That picture of her as a puppy was her first day at the house, she was scared and finally fell asleep under our table.

So jealous of you people with snow*. Max loved what little we've seen of it, but it's nowhere near enough!

* - not all the time though, screw that.

My female puggle loves to lick her toy and when she has it in her mouth while laying down, she massages it with her paws and whimpers. Its like she's in a trance.

she thinks its her baby or something?

My parents got a rescue dog, we called him Hugo. His old owner used to put out cigarette butts on his skin. Now he is much happier :) His favourite thing to do is sleep on top of people. Gentle, intelligent and goofy character.

He also thinks he is much smaller than he is - no matter where you are sitting, he will squeeze in next to you and sleep on you.

Boomer and Ike (and my foot).

This was the very first time I was able to capture both of them in a single photo. They're not exactly best friends yet, but we're slowly getting there.

Two of our pets, Riley (the dog) and Draco (kitten) taken back in 2010. Love this photo.

Riley was found as a puppy in a cardboard box in the woods with five other pups, but only he and a sister were still alive. He suffered a hernia trying to escape the box and to this day is frightened by cardboard (probably the smell more than anything).

Draco was born to a stray cat on a neighbors patio. We took him in once the kittens were old enough to be taken from the mother. Here's a couple pics of him living the high life of an outdoor stray kitten before we adopted him:

Checking out hew new cage. Which is a little light on toys at the moment because I don't want to overwhelm her. I"m reintroducing the rest of her toys once every week.

I want to give her a hug until she can't breathe.
So adorable

shes super fat/fluffy/cuddly and very affectionate.

What i cant get across to you are the noises she makes and her personality. She doesnt "meow" like a regular cat - she kinda squeeks or grumbles. She is very soft but she makes fantastic noises that are just adorable.

She loves being picked up and cuddled and having her belly rubbed - unless for whatever reason at that point she doesnt want a rub and decides to bite you or take a swipe at you.

Here are my cats, Cole (black) and Braveheart (orange). We've had them 7 years. Adopted from the Humane Society. My wife only wanted Braveheart but the lady offered to give us Cole for free. He was very skiddish and was abused before they got him. He wouldn't let people touch him so no one wanted to adopt him. They were both only a few weeks away from being put down because no one wanted either of them.

Cole and Braveheart had never been separated and they worked very hard to get him to allow people to even pet him. I can attest to that as it took me weeks to get him to warm up to me in my old apartment and he's completely terrified of new people coming into our house.

Anyway. Cats.
