Been reading that GAF homebrew tutorial, too. So just checking if i got it right. BootMii can be used to make a backup of my Wii as is right now. And since it's a launch Wii, I'll likely get to do the boot2 option making it nearly impossible for me to brick my Wii if I mess anything up as long as I do a full backup first.
The Letterbomb is probably the easiest way to do it, and if I understand it right, it will install the Homebrew Channel. Or at least allow me to.
The Homebrew Channel is where the magic happens. Install that and use the Homebrew Browser to find the apps. And if that doesn't work, ask Google for them.
And, well... that's it, really. Isn't it? Sounds a lot easier than I thought it would be.
How big an SD card would you recommend? There's a 1GB one already in the Wii, but it's full of VC and WiiWare games as well as some save files. Got another 1GB one from a camera that's not in use at the moment, and of course the 2GB one in my 3DS. Which has some games on it, too. Should I make more room in the Wii System Memory? It's nearly full, could toss out some WiiWare games to free space.
