I'd love to write a non-fiction book in the future but I have this crippling self-doubt of not being able to bring anything new to the table or missing important references relevant to the topic I'm interested in.
I've thought about writing fiction but alas my brain is not suited for that purpose.

I'm not saying originality is impossible in the details, certainly. I'm referring to the essence of narrative, the fundamentals that drive narrative. We're all human, and in that condition there is a finite scope to which we can relate and which we find compelling in terms of the nuts and bolts imho.
